“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

I will be the first to admit that I’m not a very “religious” person though I consider myself a very “spiritual” one and I’m OK with that. As far as I’m concerned, I’ve always been that way and always will be. I never understood the differences between the many religions (nor do I particularly care) and definitely don’t want to sound like a hypocrite if I attempt to. My faith in God has been strong all of my life and without question, I know I wouldn’t be where I am in life today without Him. My faith in God, knowing Jesus Christ’s love for me, and experiencing the many Works of the Holy Spirit here on earth is what matters to me and everything else is secondary. I’ve been very blessed to be a part of a small but strong non-denominational church congregation near my home where I participate in its many great activities. I’m in charge of providing the music and operating the audio systems for Sunday services as well as moderate our powerful Burn Prayer Service every Tuesday evening. My beautiful wife Catrina teaches our awesome Wednesday night Bible Study Classes and sings on Sundays with our Praise and Worship Team. I’m also honored to be a part of the church’s Leadership Team. As you see, we are very involved in our church community and love every minute of it. And the anointing over our members is astounding!

You may never know where God can lead you if you don’t open your eyes and heart to receive what He has in store for your life. For example, something miraculous happened to me recently that changed my thinking as I heard a “Word” He gave me about a month ago towards the end of one of our weekly prayer services and I had to share it with everyone who was there. I heard God’s voice speak these words to me so clear as if someone stood next to me and whispered it into my ear saying, “When you least expect it…..expect it!” It was in a deep but audible voice and a powerful message that has stuck with me from that moment on. Those seven words has since resonated throughout our services, and even other church members use the simple but meaningful phrase. It’s become a sort of mantra that everyone has adopted. For me, it has a very special meaning because we may never know the outcome of our situations, but must continue to have faith that He will deliver whatever we need for our lives to overcome any obstacles put before us.

Last night during our weekly Burn Prayer Service, the Holy Spirit’s presence was very strong and powerful as usual, but there was “something different” in the air about this particular meeting. One of the couples who attend our church, Brother L.J. and his wife Tomeika were there and they are expecting their first child in about a week or two. I had no idea that towards the end of service, we would be having a wedding as well! It seems they was prepared as they had their marriage license with them and Pastor Lou just happened to bring the book containing the vows with him. It was an awesome occasion and though we only had 10 people there, you would have thought there were over a hundred people in attendance. This was a blessing that I was happy to be a part of. So many positive things like this has been appearing to me in different forms lately, and I the only thing I can think of is that it’s God moving His Mighty Hand over my life. I’ve always learned that if you are open to receive what God has for your life, family, business, and anything else you may be experiencing, the blessings can be endless. So whenever you “least expect it”…..always be ready to “expect” and receive God’s gift of many blessings because they will change your life forever! “A candle never loses its flame by lighting another candle.” Take the opportunity God has given you to share it with others and watch your blessings grow!
