Think Before You Update Word Press See Why...

I have been using Word Press for many years and have never had any trouble after updating to the next new version that came out until now. I got the message to update to 4.1 and I did so then every plugin I had was gone and that was bad enough but I didn't back them up so my fault.

The problem came when I tried to re-install them. I can't get SEO by Yost to work at all it will not install it so I don't know what that is all about. So, when you log in and it says you need to update then I would seriously think about it.

Sorry to say I think I'm pulling my whole blog off and I may or may not try and redo it all I have not decided just yet.

Just wanted to give you a word of warning and some advise.

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR!

  • That's strange Susan because I had no trouble when I updated it a couple of days ago. I know I was told a while back to leave any update for about a week before updating it but can't remember the reason why.

Susan when you see an update it is always wise to backup your blog before updating. Sometimes your files don't transfer properly. You should always export your blog files to your computer because of this reason. Sorry to hear what happened to you. If there is anything I can do to help, just say the word.

  • Thanks, Susan...I'll be careful with this...:)
