Wizards of Waverly Place is an Emmy Award winning, live-action Disney Channel Original Series which premiered on October 12, 2007 on Disney Channel. It won an Emmy Award in 2009 for outstanding childrens' program. The series was created by Todd J. Greenwald, and stars Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin as three siblings with magical abilities. The series began filming in July 2009 in High Definition for its third season.
"Wizards of Waverly Place boxset" focuses on the Russos. A typical family, which includes a mom, Theresa Russo; a dad, Jerry Russo; a son, Justin Russo; a daughter, Alex Russo; and another son, Max Russo. The kids and the family live normal lives but what their friends don't know is the kids are wizards in training and the dad was a former wizard!
