One of the biggest health concerns plaguing society today is stress. Certain aspects of daily life like money, work and family can all contribute to the high levels of stress that we feel on a regular basis. The fact that there never seems to be enough time to accomplish everything makes the stress even worse.

The five following methods are great for eliminating some of the stress in your life.

Method One:

Take time to relax for at least an hour each day. Forget about all the problems and obligations for a little while and do an activity that you really enjoy. Activities like playing your favorite music, reading, taking a bubble bath and exercising are all wonderful for helping you to relax and handle the pressures of daily life.

It can often be difficult to see your way out of a tough situation when you are still in the middle of it. In times like these, it is good to step away from the problem for a while. Go to a different location if possible and relax. Writing your thoughts down in a journal or diary can help you to formulate ideas on how to proceed.

Putting physical distance between you and your problems might be just the thing you need. It is always easier to come up with solutions when you are calm and somewhat removed from the problem.

You can also take this time to talk about your stressful feelings with someone you trust. This person may be able to point out certain aspects of the situation that you missed since they are not directly involved in it.

 

Method Three:

Many people experience stress when they are undergoing significant changes in their lives. Instead of agonizing over the things that are changing in your life, learn to accept that changes are an inevitable part of life and can bring lots of positive opportunities.

Try to find the good things that are going to happen as a result of these changes and focus on them instead. Embracing change instead of fighting it every step of the way works wonders to eliminate stress and anxiety.

The way you perceive the events in your life is more important than the actual events themselves.

Method Four:

No matter what else you may have going on, there are always numerous chores and tasks that everyone has to take care of. Things like doing repairs, cleaning, lawn work and more can start to pile up and become daunting when combined with all of the other obligations in your life.

You can avoid making things worse for yourself by creating a schedule for each of these tasks or setting aside a particular day of the week to do nothing but complete these small tasks. Take a few breaks throughout the day and before you know it, your entire list of chores will be complete.

Method Five:

There should be at least one entire day each week in which you do nothing but relax and take time for yourself. This day should be about doing things that help to make your mind and body ready for the stressful events that will undoubtedly arise in the near future.

Do some exercise, get a massage or go for a nice swim. You will feel a lot better and your stress level will experience a sharp decline.

These five stress eliminating methods will do a great job at lowering your stress level, but you have to actually put them into practice on a regular basis. Give them a try and it is a guarantee that you will see positive results in your life!

As a team-building supporter in network marketing I find that it makes a lot of business sense. It works well and solves many typical business problems,  all while working on direct sales and network marketing. Earnings have increased and it is an ideal solution when you come up against an obstacle.

While approximately  97 percent of people aren’t making money, I am and you can. Why you may ask?

It has nothing to do with the industry and the business model is far from flawed. It’s that it can be an obstacle to work on your own without a “team”. A team will work together toward a common goal and put the company first, not a single person.

That’s why team-building works. It’s not a get rich scheme, it’s not rocket science, it’s simply a unique approach to the business world.

Learning To Think Clearly

Learning To Think Clearly is a “Process,” not an overnight Achievement.

The mind has to be trained.  In order to learn how to think clearly will take effort on your part. In fact, the quality of your thinking is what leads to the quality of your results.

At times the mind will become cluttered and filled up with a lot of static. It can feel like a television station that you’re unable to tune in to.  Your favorite program is on,  but you’re unable to tune in to it, and the static is unbearable.  Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to “tune in” whenever you wanted to?

10 suggestions to help you learn to think clearer:

1. Take a short walk daily.

Exercise clears your mind and opens the way to clear and creative thoughts.  In the end your mind as well as your body  will be refreshed.

2. Stay away from refined sugar.

Sugar takes you up and then drops you down just as fast.  If you want to understand what brain fog is, eat a sugary donut on an empty stomach, then watch for the outcome twenty minutes later. What you will experience, along with the “sugar blues,” is brain fog. Make sure that you eliminate sugar and simple carbohydrates when you need to think clearly.

3. Organized Working Space leads to clear thinking.

It’s rare that a person can actually work better in a mound of clutter.  Having an organized working space means you won’t have the thought “where is that…” distracting your mind.

4. Get “enough” sleep.

Sleep requirements will vary from person to person, however, the minimum for most is somewhere approximately five hours.  Some suffer if they sleep less than eight hours. The research, however, indicates that after a certain minimum quantity, the quality of sleep is more important to normal brain function.

5. Meditation.

Sometimes you just need to close your eyes, relax, and watch your breathing  for a while. Accept the fact that your mind will wander, but when it does, continually return your attention to your breathing. After about five minutes of this you’ll feel a boost in your brainpower.

6. Remove your “mind irritations.”

Beware of your busy brain.  If you have  a call that you need to make and it keeps popping into your thoughts.  Either make that call, or put it on a list, and your mind will let go of it for the present. Sometimes, just seeing a problem and saying to yourself, “There’s nothing I can do about this until Friday,” will often stop unconscious worrying.  Identify any such “stressors”, and then do something to let them go.

7. Don’t over indulge in Alcoholic Beverages.

Never over indulge in the use of alcoholic beverages.   While moderate amounts can be conducive to creative thinking, all the evidence states that it is bad for the long-term health of your brain.

8. Make decisions quickly.

Nothing gets in the way of clear thinking like a dozen decisions hanging around unmade. If nothing else, decide when you’ll make the decision.

9. Take in some fresh air.

Stop and then go outside and  breathe deeply through your nose. Not only will you get a good dose of oxygen to your brain, but the change of surroundings will help clear your mind.

10. Satisfy your physical needs.

Clear thinking is much easier to maintain if you’re not hungry, thirsty, or hot.

You may have heard of the law of attraction, this mysterious force which allows like to attract like. Although it seems to be more of a myth than a reality, many people believe that this philosophy in some way plays a large role in their lives.

If you think about magnetism, and the attraction that certain metals have for each other, you have to assume that at some energetic level, especially with people that we meet, that this law of attraction is also working through our emotions and thought processes.

The laws of attraction, regardless of its origin, are based upon the belief that your thoughts originate from energy. It is this energy, along with your intention, that helps you to manifest certain things in your life.

events that occur in your life. Unlike magnets that attract opposites, the laws of attraction seem to state quite the opposite.

If you have a positive personality, theoretically, you should attract positive happy people into your life. If you have a very negative or angry personality, you will
attract situations and people into your life that match this negative personality trait.

In order to see if this concept of like attracting like is actually real, you might want to do a meditation on the things that you would like to have in your life. Then, begin to modify your own personality in ways that will attract these things.

By  meditation on becoming more positive and enthusiastic you will be able to:

a.  Have more energy, get more things done, as well as have more time.

b.  Attract other positive, like-minded people.

Begin to eliminate negative feelings and emotions as much as possible, and see if positive events and people begin to show up. If your life changes dramatically as a

Persistence is a “state of mind” which can be cultivated through practice.  In other words, you must train yourself to be persistent.

Steps to The Train Persistence Starts With:

1.  Definiteness of Purpose.

You must know what you want.  This is probably the most important step towards the development of persistence.  It takes a strong motive to force you to surmount the many difficulties you will encounter.

 

2.  Have A Desire:

By have a great desire in your heart it will be comparatively easy to acquire and maintain persistence when pursuing the object of your intense desire.

 

3.  Becoming Self-Reliant:

When you believe in your ability to carry out a plan or course of action, it will encourage you to follow that plan to the end with determination and persistence.  (You can inspire yourself to become self reliant through the power and practice of auto suggestion.)

What is Auto Suggestion?

It is a term used for suggestions and all self-administered stimuli which reaches into one;s mind through the five sense.  In other words, it is self suggestion.  It is the medium used for influencing the sub conscious mind.  It can be the negative or the positive thoughts we tend to choose to rule over us.  It is the agent of the mind where communication of a conscious thought actually takes place.  In other words, it is the seat of action for your subconscious mind.

 

4.  Having a Definiteness of Plans:

Having organized plans will encourage persistence.  This will happen even if they are weak or impractical at the onset. Through time and practice with applied knowledge you will finalize and make your plans definite, precise and clear.

 

5.  Obtaining Accurate Knowledge:

Having a knowing that your plans are sound, based upon experience or observation will encourage persistence.  Guessing, instead of Knowing will destroy persistence.  You need to “know” that  your plans are sound.

 

6.  Team Cooperation:

Having sympathy, understanding, and harmonious cooperation with others always helps to build up and develop persistence as well.

 

7.  Strong Will-Power:

Maintaining the habit of concentrating your thoughts upon the building up of your plans for the attainment of a definite purpose will also lead to persistence.

 

8.  The Power of Habit:

You will realize that persistence is the direct result of habit.  Your mind absorbs and becomes a part of the daily experiences upon which it feeds.

Fear. which is the worst of all enemies, can be cured effectively by FORCED REPETITION OF ACTS OF COURAGE.  Anyone who has participated  in active service of any kind can verify this.

Difference Between Purpose and Plans

There is some controversy over the definition of what it means to have a purpose, and to what it means to have definite plans.

Most people that have a purpose in life may have found it through their job, relationship, or a hobby that they are passionate about. On the other hand, plans are simply ideas that you have, possibilities in regard to what you want to do, and what you may be capable of achieving.

The Difference Between Purpose And Plans

When a person has a purpose in their life, it is something that motivates them to move forward. People that do not have a definite purpose may not have a reason to even get up out of bed. By definition, purpose is the reason that something is done, or that something is created.

It is the motivation behind everything that we do, the justification for the hobbies that we have, and the people that we know. Without purpose, it’s difficult to function. Therefore, we must all find our purpose, to some degree, in order to have a good life.

What Are Plans?

Plans represent the potentiality of something that might occur. They are simply an outline of what is to come, or what you hope will manifest in your life. If the plans are definite, and you pursue them as laid out, you could actually achieve the goals that you have in mind. Therefore, even though planning does not represent the desires or emotions that are typically associated with having a purpose, they are at least a beginning, a guideline for finding our purpose.

When you make plans that you actually want to achieve, once you reach the stated goals, they may actually be part of your overall purpose.

And once you have purpose in your life, planning can be used to enhance your purpose, giving you a specific guideline for improving your life everyday.

Hopefully, my interpretation of the difference between purpose and plans will help you utilize both of these strategies to improve the quality of your life.

Becoming a Possibility Thinker begins when you realize that your life moves in the direction of your most dominant thoughts.

The difficulty that many people have is becoming entrapped in the routines of everyday life. When you are younger, it is easier to conceptualize the idea of taking your life to higher levels, doing things that most people only dream about. Unfortunately, as life goes on, and your dreams are not realized, we become doubtful about what is actually possible in our lives. As a result of this, many people end up getting caught in their daily routines, never achieving what they hoped to accomplish earlier in life.

You don’t have to brilliant to be successful.  There are many people with what seems to be ordinary gifts who have made extraordinary contributions to society.  It begins with learning where your strengths are, then focusing those strengths to defined objectives.

However, there is hope for those that would like to change their mundane mindset. It is possible to once again think of all of the possibilities, and believe that you can achieve at least some of them. In this article, I will present some ways of becoming a possibility thinker, someone that can rise from the ashes of defeat and slowly become an achiever that can accomplish what they set out to do long ago.

One of the first things that you need to do to become a possibility thinker is to “make a list” of what you want to accomplish.

The list is important, but even more so, you need to “visualize” what it is you want to manifest in your life.

“Goal setting” is part of this process, but you must actually see yourself where you want to be, feeling the emotions of actually being in a situation that will make you happy and fulfilled. In essence, you are breaking the normal routines that you currently face everyday by having this different mindset.

Once you do this, and visualize where you want to be on a regular basis, becoming a possibility thinker is within your grasp.

Although there are many other facets to this way of thinking, this is the foundation that you need to set first.

What if:  The Question

This question comes at us every day. What if I said this, or,  What if I did that or what would happen if I didn't!  It all comes down to decisions, some decisions we make will be good and other decisions may turn out to be bad decisions. That’s life.

When you take some time to look back on your life you can think of some really great decisions that you made,  some decisions that have altered the course of your life. You will also remember some really bad ones which have affected you in a negative way.

Happiness: Mind over Matter

Happiness is the state of being happy, therefore, it is mind over matter because you have to make a “decision” to be happy no matter what your circumstance.

Even though you could be infinitely happy by just enjoying nature, family and all the human-made things, there are still millions of people who are unhappy. When you look at the developed countries  there tends to be the very fortunate circumstance of having both God-given and man-made things.  Even so, the majority of the people are still unhappy.

Yet again, in the under developed countries, where for millions, there is a real scarcity of even basic needs, yet the people seem to be happy. There are even some people who are engaged in difficult tasks, warfare, or even incarcerated in prisons, and yet they are still happy!

“Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.” –Thomas Jefferson

Happiness is not realized by the mere availability and abundance of God given and human-made things. There is something else which should be right to be happy. Of course, it is our mind that must have right attitude  and capacity to be happy.

 

Milton in Paradise Lost says,

‘The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.’

Various examples of us how the mind over matter can and will influence our body:

• Pavlov’s dog starts salivating at the sound of the bell without any food in sight.
• If we are tense we often get headache, backache, and spondylitis, etc.
• Heart attacks are directly linked to worry and tension.
• The Right mental attitude helps in curing many bodily maladies.
• Self-talk, motivation, and positive attitude we can become happy and successful.
• Hypnosis one can have command over another person’s mind and body.
• Meditation can help with having a healthy body and extra sensory abilities.

The Mind has extra-ordinary powers and as far as happiness is concerned,  it has the ultimate power. We should, therefore, have a positive attitude towards life. Instead of concentrating on the bad things in life and people, we should always concentrate on the redeeming features in them.

It is important not to keep on thinking about past failures and bad experiences,  but be encouraged by your past success and good experiences. Similarly, we should not be unduly anxious about the future as our anxiety is not going to have a positive effect, but we should plan and work hard for the future.

How to Remain “Calm” Through It All!

Remaining calm in the midst  of turmoil will take a time of reprogramming our minds by depositing “Positives” into our Mind which will defeat each negative that pops up!

Life happens and we have no control over some circumstances.
No matter what is happening in the world around us, it is never necessary to become caught up in a state of depression, fear or  any other negativity. We are not the victims of the world as we see it because we have the ability to mobilize ourselves and take charge of the way we respond to any given stimuli.

Depression and fear can very easily become addictive.  It has been proven that the longer we allow ourselves to stay in a  negative state of mind, the more difficult it can and will become to rid ourselves of  them .

In this state of mind, our world tends to grow smaller as we begin to develop catastrophic expectations. At this point we even lose touch with our own power to take charge, to choose actions and perceptions which will counteract the negativity.

“Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.” –Saint Francis de Sales

Staying Calm through the process of Centering:

Centering is universal.  There are many forms of exercise, such as martial arts and meditation which are ways of achieving centering and balance. These exercises are ways to tap into the fundamental strength and courage to which every individual is endowed with.   When taken on and practiced daily, an individual learns to calm down and changes will soon be seen.

In Zen they say, “Open the treasure house within.” This reminds us that we are endowed with gifts which are far greater than we currently realize or employ.

The Process of Attention:
We are what we think about..

Morita, a Japanese psychiatrist, the founder of Morita Therapy, states that all neurosis comes from frozen attention that has gotten stuck and fixed upon recurring negative thoughts. The more we give attention to that which is destructive, the more strength it has to rule our lives.
Regain your Attention by:

Realizing that the power of focus is indeed, the power of life. Spend some time each day developing focus and concentration. Withdraw yourself from the chaotic external world for a period of time each day, and pull your attention back within.

Sit down with a straight back, do not move and concentrate upon your breathing. Let random thoughts come and go. Do not suppress them, but do not let them grab your attention away. At first you may be besieged by many surprising thoughts and feelings, but if you simply notice them and then return your attention to your breathing, these will soon die down and dissipate.

Next  begin  to count your breaths from one to ten, then begin again. Do this for at least ten to fifteen minutes without moving. By being still and not moving we are stopping what is called the monkey mind, the mind, which jumps from one thing to the next, where fears and demands try to  grab hold and sabotages our lives.

In all actuality, it is the monkey mind, which causes our sorrow and fear. Realize that it is only a portion of us, it cannot take over our lives as we learn how to take our attention back. By practicing this daily, we are strengthening new parts of ourselves, which will guide and lead us in a new direction, one of meaning, balance and well-being.
In the process of time you will learn that this wonderful time spent with yourself is a very simple way to attain perspective, remain calm and  become able to see clearly as we are being  rooted in the larger truth.  You will see that this time becomes a fortification against many storms, which would naturally besiege you. We develop a place within ourselves, where we can always return, for wisdom, strength and comfort.

When we allow the external world to consume us, we are simply giving our natural treasures away.   Rather than struggling to analyze and undo our patterns, we must learn to work directly with our attention.

The questions before us always are:

a.  What am I focusing on this moment?

b.  Am I present with the breathing, or lost somewhere in a dream.

c.  Am I dwelling upon the pains and wrongs I think have others have done me.

d.  Am I dwelling on the terrible things that can happen someday?

Reality continually renews and confronts us with new tasks, challenges, opportunities and solutions, day after day. Are we in touch with this ever flowing reality? Are we asking ourselves what is available now, what gifts we are receiving and what we can give to others, or are we dwelling upon how wronged, threatened or deprived we’ve always been?

The Process of Gratitude:

The second step of Centering is Gratitude.  Depression and Gratitude cannot co-exist in the same person at the same time.  If your focus in life is completely self absorbed, you will live in a prison without bars.   A prison without bars is a self made prison.  In this prison, feelings of worthlessness emerge, producing additional depression, hostility and stress.

With the process of Centering  we become more aware and grateful.   Our focus naturally changes to all that we are receiving, to the needs of others, what we can give, as well as, what needs to be done. When we do it., we take action without hesitation.

Once our focus is placed upon simple daily actions, and upon doing “deeds of service”, the monkey mind is dismantled and passing emotions do not take center stage.

One of the most powerful antidotes to any type of psychological suffering and learning to remain “Calm” through it all is the process of learning to deposit positives in our mind, along with the Can do Spirit, along with the Power of Centering.

Have you officially set  your goals?  Are you all geared up to get started on them? Have you established some concise ways to support your goals?  What will ensure that you actually stay on your desired path?

It is easy to get off  the path. It is also easy to get all wrapped in  the stuff in everyday life. We must plan and work to make our goals happen.  It will require exertion in an organized manner to see our goals come to life.  When you do set goals and establish ways to get where you want to go, how do you stay on track?

Once  you have clear goals that you want to achieve, it is easier to set the necessary steps to achieve them. It sounds easy.  But in all actuality it is not.  The fact is that you will only take control of your goal when you “stop getting distracted doing some of the things” that you are now doing.
Take the time to Examine your life right now? What does it look like? Did you get the necessary steps done today to reach your goal?   What you did today will show up later? How then do you stay on track?

1. Meditation


Meditating twice a day, once after waking and once before going to sleep helps you to feel centered even if the rest of the world is askew. If you don’t think you don’t have time to meditate, think again. If you learn a mantra from a meditation teacher, you can just repeat your mantra once and then you’re done with your meditation.

 

The most common mantra is Ohm, however, there are many other monosyllabic Sanskrit words that you can use as your mantra.

 

2. Being in the moment

After meditation and throughout the day, avoid thinking about things in the past or in the future because that will stop you from appreciating what you have in the present moment. If your mind drifts away and you start to feel upset over something, interrupt the thought right away and replace it with a positive one.

 

3. Exercise

Exercising 30 minutes a day can go a long way to breathing more oxygen into your brain. Jog around your neighborhood and if you want to, dance alone in your room.

It has been proven that the most successful individuals are not only those who dare to dream, but those who set clearly defined goals for themselves, and envision themselves where they want to be.

Retaining the ability to dream big and reach far is not as common as it should be. During childhood being 'realistic' is deeply engrained and children are discouraged from pursuing goals that seem unattainable. This can result in overly pragmatic adults, who find it impossible to think beyond, or even imagine, beyond their present circumstance: they have no dreams goals and visions, they simply exist. 

But, breaking out of that mold and gaining a fire for life is possible if you want it! The first step is to say no to negativity! Don't cut yourself down, or laugh when you say 'I want a Ferrari".

Dare to dream, and dare to dream big! Believe that you deserve to be in a better place, be it financially, or in your personal life, and make a list of your dreams goals and visions. Do you want to meet and marry the woman of your dreams, are you sick of living in a one bedroom in a crappy part of town, do you want to get out of your 9-5 and have time for your kids? 

Go for it! 

Once you have listed your goals, prioritize them, and start working down the list a few at a time. Set deadlines and work out a plan to try and get where you want to be. Believing that anything is possible is the first step to changing your life, and taking charge of your personal growth.
