How Starting Your Own 'Country Club' Can Skyrocket Your Revenues!

My mom was visiting recently and during our mother-daughter shopping time I noticed something interesting. Almost all of the stores I made a purchase at asked me if I'd like to get on their mailing list. That's very smart.

However, the WAY in which they did this made a big difference in my answer. I said NO to almost all of them because they simply did not make it enticing for me. I mean, who WANTS more junk mail? So if you simply ask me if I'd like to be on your mailing list, the answer will usually be NO.

But one store in particular got me. First of all, it was a designer clothing store I loved. Second of all, they didn't ask me if I wanted to be on their mailing list. They invited me to become a "VIP Client".

Say the words "VIP" to me and my ears perk up. It of course stands for "very important person". And in general it indicates a level of advantage and prestige. Suddenly I WANTED to be on that mailing list, especially when the salesman explained to me it came with certain benefits, such as early notice on new arrivals, a personal shopping service, and private trunk shows.

And you know what? I would have even paid to be part of that - to be regarded as a VIP.

You see, people WANT to be part of something special like ezine advertising. The example above was free. But don't underestimate how much your clients or customers will PAY to do that, either.

Example: A friend of mine recently shared he pays $15,000.00 a year to belong to the President's Club of a local playhouse, even though he and his wife could attend each show there for just $150.00. Why would even a loyal attendee want to pay 100 times more? Special treatment like preferred seating, valet parking, invites to VIP functions, private restaurant for members only, networking with a higher level of people, etc.

Another friend of mine pays for membership at a private nightclub here in Los Angeles up on Sunset Blvd. for many of the same reasons (but more so, I believe, because it impresses his dates ; )).

My marketing mentor Dan Kennedy taught me there is a segment of virtually EVERY customer or client group or market who will happily pay FAR above standard prices for convenience, status, and special treatment.

I call it "country clubbing" your business. Why be the driving range with an hourly charge when you can be the classy six-figure membership club down the street? You can offer both of course, but look at what will skyrocket your business FASTER, with less transactions and higher quality clients.

One example of this is my private Platinum Mastermind program, which I launched in 2006 due to overwhelming demand for my personal coaching. This group of 15 serious small business owners each pay $15,000.00 a year to have greater access to me than anyone else, and in a small group setting where we meet 3 times a year at luxurious 4- and 5-star hotels and resorts.

My Platinums are, essentially, VIPs in my world! And because I maintain a bit of mystique about the group, people seem to want "in" even more. (One of my members got cornered in the ladies room at my last Online Success Blueprint Workshop by several attendees who demanded to know how they could get into Platinum!)

I share this not to impress you, but to impress upon you that in YOUR market (yes, *yours*) there IS a percentage of folks who will gladly pay MORE - much more - for a higher level of service or treatment. Remember, you're not trying to please EVERYBODY, just the select few who can afford that level of service.

So now, take a minute or two and consider how YOU can start your own "country club" for your clients and customers. Whether it's a VIP level of service or a private client group that meets a few times a year.

To get your wheels turning, imagine this... if you can get 10 people to commit to some type of program that is just $10,000.00 a year, that's an extra $100,000.00 this year for YOU!

FC + RSS = SEO

FC + RSS = SEO

No, this is not the new math.  It is the formula for getting your web site recognized by the search engine spider.

The formula is Fresh Content + Really Simple Syndication = Search Engine Optimization..  This is an easy way to get the search engine spiders to come and visit your site on a regular basis, see that "updates" have been made, and get you ranked higher in the directories.

It isn't that difficult to write a 300 - 500 word article about your favorite subject matter.  What works for me is to set aside a couple of hours a week and knock out 5 - 7 articles at one time to use during the upcoming week.  The articles are all different but are similar, so writing them in one sitting is a bit easier. Writing your own content is still the best method but article submission sites can help you out when you have "writer's block".

Getting fresh content can be easy with the many article submission sites available on the Internet.  All you have to do is search for articles related to your site, copy them and add them to your site.  Ensure that you credit the author by leaving the resource box, along with a live link, intact.  You can grab many articles at one sitting and save them for later updates.  Add some content to your site on a regular basis - preferably daily.  You will be amazed at how quick your new site gets indexed and happy with the rankings of your current site as it goes higher and higher.

RSS is an XML formatted style for syndicating content.  Users that have RSS readers can then pick up your content and read it at their leisure.  Your content will then be all over the Internet giving you maximum exposure.

One additional tip is to add a news aggregator to your site.  This will put current news headlines and snippets of the articles on your site.  Again, this adds fresh content, making the search engine spiders happy.

So, a few simple adjustments to your web site can bring more visitors, happy spiders and fame and fortune to the authors of the original articles.

Creating an Outline Can Dramatically Improve Your Article Writing

The truth is that writing is a pet hate for many of us. Throughout school we have written an endless number of essays and articles and from a personal point of view I hardly ever looked forward to the prospect of writing. It seemed so difficult to keep the flow of an article going, and many times I use to run out of points to mention, making the content uninteresting and bland. However, at a time when article writing can dramatically improve website promotion, it is a method that should not be avoided.

Although there are a great number of people who like to write articles, either to promote their product or website, or to display their expertise in an area, there are also many more that would rather walk on hot coals than to sit down and write out an article. The key between the two sets of people is that one is prepared and has methods and procedures in place to quickly and effectively write articles, and the other does not plan at all.

One of the best ways to prepare yourself is to make an outline first. This will make you prepared for what you want to get across in the article and make the article flow. Using an outline you can start with the idea that you initially have for the article and make a plan for the succeeding steps. This will not only make the article more readable and understandable, but also make article writing easier and faster.

Rather than to sit and think of different sections of an article, an outline will provide a clear introduction, body and conclusion. Also brainstorm sentences and ideas that you feel would compliment the article and contribute to the impact it may have on a reader. These points could make the article creative, interesting and appealing to the reader.

Here I will provide a few tips and guidelines so that you can create an outline for all of your articles:

Do a brainstorming session and write down the good ideas that usually come to you first. Imagine being in the readers' position and think of what might attract their interest. Assign a time frame that you aim to stick to, where you can write down all of your ideas and do any research that you may need to do. Review the ideas that you have jotted down and become familiar with the topic so that writing them in the article will be easy.

Next, determine the sub topic and sub titles of the article. If your article has apparent sections, you will then be able to make them clear for the reader using sub titles.

Now you can begin to add the "meat" of the article. You will need to connect all of your paragraphs and sub topics to form the body of the article. While you will have an introduction that will guide into the ideas of your paragraph, you will also need a conclusion to conclude your points and to drive in the purpose of the article.

Your article outline will also require you to write a draft. This may be required several times so that the outline is perfected as more drafts are written. The draft is meant for your eyes only so experiment with paragraphs and sentences so that the article reads how you see fit. As you write more drafts you will see clearly how the article progresses to the verge of being complete.

Re-read what you have written. Always refer to your outline so that you keep to the guidelines that you have set out for yourself. It's very easy to get caught up in a particular sentence and to go off at a tangent. Your outline should stop this from happening. All the time spent writing out your outline should not go to waste. Trust and rely on your outline because it can prove to be a very helpful tool in writing all of your articles.

For some, writing articles is a unappealing thought, but an important one to undertake in internet marketing. Creating an outline can solve problems that many encounter.

Increase Traffic and Drive Up Your Sales

Article writing is a great way to increase the amount of traffic to your website, more importantly increasing your exposure to the world. Writing articles is all about getting links to your website, usually done from within what a "resource box." Your resource box should contain links back to your website, after someone reads your article if they are looking for additional information on the subject they are re-directed to your website.

Resources boxes play an important role in developing back links to your website, which are very important to search engines for ranking your site against your competition. Back links are one of the key factors that search engine use to rate your website based on relevance of a specific keyword, or topic. Creating an effective resource box will drive traffic to your website each time a reader would like additional information about the topic.

Article writing by far is the fastest way to build your back links, drive traffic to your website. Traffic is ultimately, what you want right. You did not build your website just to sit there and wait for people to stumble upon it occasionally. In addition, article writing is a fast and effective way to get your website indexed with the major search engines. When articles are published to directories that already have a lot of traffic your site is "picked" up by the search engines crawlers the next time they visit their web site, this means faster indexing and inclusion in search engines

Once you write an article you have to get it published, this is very easy to do, find article directories that are high traffic and user friendly. High traffic sites are your best option, your article spread around the internet much faster, and therefore getting you traffic faster.

The more articles that you write the more traffic you drive to your website. A good number to start with is five articles, write and publish a minimum of 5 per day, or at least 150 per month. In the right directories and distribution, you can build thousands of back links a month.

Article Writing: 10 Reasons Why The Discipline Is Necessary For Any Internet Marketer

The hardest part about writing, is getting one's self to actually start writing. Most writers usually hate to write but love it when they have finished writing. To be able to escape this process, what some writers do is procrastinate.

Having this attitude really does not get anything done. One of the basic reason why some think this way is because they are afraid to fail. They also put tremendous pressure upon themselves, thinking that whatever writing that they should do and produce must be brilliant.

The fact of the matter is that no writer, or person for that matter, is perfect. Everyone has flaws and having imperfections is the perfect reason why more writing should be done.

Discipline is important. Without this, nothing will get done or will get written. Having discipline causes any writer, especially those who write articles for the internet, to think clearly and go beyond his or her mundane concerns. When one has discipline, the focus is on the output and not on the ego.

Discipline serves as a guide

Having discipline enables anyone to think in a lucid manner. It also helps in coming up of ways to present the details and facts of an article. A disciplined mind gets things done easily.

Using a guide in numbering the characters that should be present on each line of a given article is an easy and controlled way to limit as well as define what it is to write about and how.

Observe how doing this and setting a limit to one's self actually helps the writer compose the article thereby avoiding awkward breaks in each sentence. When this is done, readability of the article is achieved as well as the topic at hand becomes a whole lot clearer.

Discipline helps achieve focus

There are a million things to write about as well as there are a million things to say. Having discipline makes it a lot easier to select a particular idea or subject. A general issue could still be broken down in sub topics and start from there.

The words to be used for such an article must also be appropriate to the kind of reader targeted. Once this is decided upon, selecting the appropriate mood, be it serious, funny, etc. would be a lot easier.

Having discipline makes it easier to break a topic down

If it is simply too overwhelming to write an article in one get up and go fashion, the only solution is - don't write it.

Discipline yourself to think of the article in easy and convenient small chunks. Take each idea as one paragraph. Then think of another idea in terms of another paragraph. Then, make a simple outline of the article as well as the issues and topics that will cover it.

Discipline yourself to just let go

Writing is a process. It is best that writing be not forced. Such an attitude produces an article that is stiff, unreadable and - most likely - unlikable.

Discipline yourself to just write
A lot of things could crop up inside one's head about the article one is intending to write.

It is easy to be distracted about other topics that could be included in the article, or other issues, as well as other subtopics.

It is best that one should just stick to the current topic at hand. Topics or issues that are off the main points must be avoided.

Remember that the objective is to write, complete and finish the article. Entertaining any and all forms of distractions will not be helpful.

Be disciplined to not edit --- at least not yet

In any first drafts, the key to writing completely is to let the ideas just flow. Editing must and will have to come at a later part. Editing is not part of the writing process, at least in this stage where thoughts really just have to flow, so let it.

Be disciplined to re-read and review the article

After the writing is complete, this is the perfect and best time to start reading it as well as reviewing it. First time drafts must be proofread. This is also the best time to start editing.

Check and find out which parts seem to lag. Is there any weak idea that needs backing up? Are there no spelling errors in the article? Are there any errors in grammar? Such mistakes must be paid attention to as it could distract the readers from the idea and point of the article.

Discipline yourself to relax

After writing, let the article stand or sit on its own. Get up and eat, sleep, read, watch television or simply get out.

Make sure that you spend at least a day letting the article breath.

Discipline yourself to re-write
Getting back to the article after a considerable amount of time away from it enables anyone to look at it with fresh eyes.

Check the title. Review if the sentences are complete thoughts. Delete or re-write what needs to be edted or re-written.

Well-written articles should be satisfying and not leave readers wanting to have more.

Discipline yourself to make the article known

After all is said, written and done, it is now time to send the article out. Readers should be appropriately advised where the article came from, who wrote it or if there is any link related to the article and its source.

In summary, discipline helps anyone, especially in writing, start and finish a task with a process that is methodical and one that actually works. All one needs is discipline to carry it through.

An Indispensable Writing Tool

An Indispensable Writing Tool

A small but indispensable tool if you're serious about writing is a notebook; I mean the paper kind and not the computer. Yes, that's right, a notebook. It should be carried around whenever you leave your home or office. Here's why:

1. You just don't know when an idea will strike. Unless you have a photographic memory, you'd want to write down that idea immediately so you may study it at a later time. Ideas often come when you are aware of the sights and sounds around you.

2. It's better to write down experiences as much as possible in real time then try to relive and write about it later. For example a first-time visit to a park or rain forest can produce emotions or feelings that would be difficult to duplicate in writing if recalled by memory when it's long over.

3. You might meet an important or exciting personality whom you'd like to quote verbatim. To write about it later out of memory might cause you to misquote the person, which will render your article false. What's worse is that you might draw the ire of the person misquoted.

4. When you have a chosen subject matter, it helps very much to collect information. An article with lots of information endears you to readers, especially those who go to the Internet for information. Jotting down as much information you can get will also give you fodder for more future articles. Information will also generate those all-imortant ideas.

Of course, it goes without saying, that carrying a notebook will entail carrying that other indispensable tool, a pen (or pencil). Carrying these are unobtrusive, lightweight and can easily be retrieved and used.

They may seem old-fashioned, but they work nonetheless.

9 Steps to Unique Articles

9 Steps to Unique Articles

1 Remove your limits

Reduce your subject to a single core word and then brainstorm around it. For example, if you're trying to write about "Study Skills", expand your thinking to "School". Now jot down everything that comes to mind when you think about School, and when you run out of ideas start asking yourself open questions around the subject and noting your answers.

Examples:

What did I enjoy about school?
What scared me?
What did I wish I'd known from Day 1?

This will help you get back into the mindset of someone struggling with school issues of all kinds and you'll start to get a feel for their concerns and worries.

2 Restore your focus

Once you've started to understand the general feelings of your readers, allow your mind to focus back on your original topic of Study Skills. From your new perspective, what questions would you ask? What would you want to know? Is this really a "Studying" issue or is it more about Time Management or being able to work without distractions or being paralyzed by the fear of not doing well?

3 Be your audience

Write each question on a separate sheet of paper; don't stop until you have at least ten and preferably more. Stay in the mindset of your readers until you feel you've asked every major question that concerns them.

4 Take a step back

Put your pile of question aside for a few hours, overnight if possible. Don't consciously think about them; just go about your day as usual. Give your subconscious time to process them without any further prompting from you. If new questions come to mind jot them down somewhere safe and then forget about them.

5 Get out your pen and write

When you're ready, sit down with your pages of questions and simply start to answer them. Writing your answers by hand can give you access to ideas that might be missed if you type them. Don't edit yourself at this stage. Using Speech to Text software or a digital recorder can also be helpful in bypassing the internal editor.

Imagine someone sitting in front of you asking for advice and just talk to them. Keep your tone natural and conversational and stay with the question-and-answer format.

6 Edit lightly

Trust your first instincts. Proof-read and correct any obvious errors, but don't do any major editing until your piece has had time to "sit" for a while. Again, leaving it overnight will give you a fresh perspective the next time you look at it, but even if your deadline doesn't allow for that it's important to give yourself a break from it.

When you're pushed for time, writing several articles at one sitting can create enough change of focus to make you "forget" the one you've just written.

7 Polish it up

Short articles are unlikely to need major editing if you've written them as described here. They will flow easily and naturally already and having each Q & A on a separate sheet makes it easier to select only the ones you want. Your job now is to put them in a reasonably logical sequence and make sure they're understandable and that the reader is led smoothly from one question and answer to the next.

8 Top and tail it

Write a brief introductory paragraph as a "teaser" for the main article. Many article directories now put the first paragraph of each piece into RSS feeds which are picked up by other websites, so you'll want to make sure that your two or three major keywords appear at least once in that first paragraph.

Write another short paragraph to summarize the major points of the article and provide some ideas for the reader to explore the subject further. Don't of course forget your own resource box: use the format SubmitYourNewArticle.com for your link, so when your article is converted to html your link will automatically be live.

9 Submit it!

Treadmills vs. Exercise Bike

There are hundreds of types of Exercise equipment on the market, but the most popular are treadmills and Exercise bikes.  The major problem most people find with at home exercise equipment is overcoming boredom.  The only thing that seems to work on boredom on a treadmill is a TV or watching an exercise program.

The same is true on an exercise bike, but some bikes allow you to plug into a TV or video game so that you may visually pedal thru a course.  Recumbent bikes allow your hands to be free so that you may use the phone, magazine or book.

Safety on a Treadmill or Bike

If safety is a major concern due to age or injury, obviously the exercise bike is the safest for either.  Not only while on a treadmill do you have to worry about a misstep, but also if you have children they can endanger the user or themselves.  If a ball or any other item is placed under the deck and belt the treadmill can abruptly stop, or little fingers and hands can be hurt by putting them in places they don't belong.

With treadmills you also have to remember that you are putting much more Stress on your joints.  With an upright exercise bike users may stress your back while trying to reach handle bars.  Recumbent bikes are said to sometimes improve existing back Pain by forcing proper posture and giving you support while exercising.  Exercising on a bike compared to a treadmill will reduce joint stress and injury.

Calorie Burn

On average a treadmill will burn more calories per hour than an exercise bike.  NordicTrack conducted a study using different types of exercise equipment and they found that all at the same intensity the treadmill and ski machine burned more calories per hour than any other piece of equipment.

If you are interested in losing Weight, a treadmill is the way to go!  If you are a Healthy individual with no joint problems or Health problems you can expect to Lose about 750 calories per hour on a treadmill compared to 550 calories on a bike.  The key to losing Weight is thru vigorous activity which a treadmill can allow.

Conclusion

Both exercise bikes and treadmills are wonderful options for anyone interested in losing weight or improving health.  The major decision is what you are truly interested in achieving, and if you feel that you will be able to stick with your program long term.  Long term success is determined by long term usage, so pick wisely, or even better choose both if your wallet can afford the investment.

Tips To Help Get You In The Running

Running or walking outside, however, may not always be a Natural choice. If you're not enthusiastic about running or walking in winter weather or summer humidity, or if you live somewhere where there are few sidewalks or where there's a lot of traffic, you may want to invest in a state-of-the-art treadmill.

A treadmill can make it easier to achieve Fitness goals and the latest treadmills offer many fun, motivating features that let you track progress.

Not all treadmills are created equal and a badly designed treadmill may ultimately do more harm than good.

It's important not to settle because a bad short-term choice could have serious long-lasting Health consequences.

Since Exercise should be a life-long habit, you want a treadmill that will protect potentially fragile joints.

When you Exercise on concrete sidewalks, for example, the impact shock is "bounced" back to your knees and hips, because concrete is a rigid material.

This can also be true of rigid, heavy steel treadmills.

When choosing a treadmill, look for one with active shock management features like those featured on PaceMaster treadmills. The tri-flex system uses three components to protect joints:

• A custom-designed deck flexes with every foot strike.

• Elastomer cushions further absorb the impact shock.

• Aluminum frames provide Strength but also flex more than steel.

As a result, your joints can stay healthier for longer.

Pedometers: The Magic Pill for Better Health

The good news is, there is such a pill, and it doesn't require a  prescription, nor is it available ¡°over the counter.¡±  It's a simple step  counter, or pedometer, and it has powers you would not believe to  improve your Health and wellness, Lose Weight, and live longer.

What's a pedometer?  It's a simple electronic device you wear on  your waistband that counts steps.  Technically, a pedometer  calculates distance, as opposed to a step counter, which only  counts steps.  The pedometer still counts steps, and uses a user- input stride length to calculate the distance.  Other pedometers  show calories burned, elapsed Exercise time, steps per minute, and  on and on.  All you really need is something that accurately counts  steps.  Other features can be nice, but many are not necessary.

Why is it important to count steps?  It's a primary indication of the  activity you are engaged in during the day.  Studies have shown that  you don't need to dedicate a specific time to Exercise, per se, but  smaller bouts of activity can have the same effect as one longer,  extended period.

That means that making small changes in your daily routine can have  tremendous effects on your health.  Park farther from the store, take  the stairs instead of the elevator, pace while you're on the phone,  walk with the dog instead of just letting her go, and go down the hall  instead of sending an e-mail or picking up the phone.

By taking more steps-essentially increasing your daily activity and  Burning more calories-you are becoming more physically active.   The American Medical Association says that by increasing your  activity level, you will:

Doing less than the minimum of Training could lead to erasing of information and getting out of shape. Training more than the maximum indicated could bring with it the risk of over-training, of Physical overwork.

2. Individualize the frequency of the programs. One of the roles of the Fitness Trainer is to individualize the frequency of the programs, in order to find the best periodicity for every person involved in training.

3. Performing the exercises correctly. Another factor that can increase the effectiveness of a training program is performing the exercises correctly. Wrong technique will quickly determine worse results, even if the program which includes those exercises is well conceived, organized in time and personalized. Besides lack of good results, the person who didn't acquire good training technique exposes himself to the risk of sometimes very bad accidents (muscular ruptures, hernia, stroke, etc.).

4. Performed automatically. The movements a person learns must get to be mastered and performed automatically, the same as the technique of breathing which accompany them. This way, the sportsman will save mental Energy that he can use for getting the right intensity, focusing on the Muscle towards which a particular Exercise is directed, forced repetitions of movements, etc. Any new Exercise require patience and time in order to be correctly assimilated and introduced in the set of exercises mastered by any sportsman.

5. Well-balanced Diet and hydration. Besides a well-balanced diet (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids - 4:1:1 - the proportion in grams per kilogram of food principles), hydrating must be given special care. Good hydrating of the body has as a result the increase of the efficiency of a Fitness program. The body must be carefully hydrated before, during and after training. The sensation of thirst must not be experienced - this would only be a late signal of dehydration. The types of liquids that can be used can and should vary a lot: soda, plant teas, fruit, fresh juice, isotonic drinks, energizers, etc. Be also careful with the drinks that fasten dehydration. This category of liquids includes drinks which contain caffeine or alcohol. They forcedly increase dieresis, fastening dehydration, which is also Naturally determined by the training (especially by aerobic training).

6. Biorhythm. Another factor that must be considered is biorhythm, which is specific to each person. The training must thus be placed at the time of maximum physical efficiency, time which is directly related to the increase of the body temperature

Can Exercise harm you?

Without it, you feel irritable and out of sorts till you Exercise again. So you go on exercising, never stopping to listen to what you body is saying. And what its saying is, "Stop."

The reason Exercise addicts keep pushing themselves probably lies in what happens when they don't work out. Psychologists at the University of Massachusetts at Boston studied the psychological consequences of being unable to exercise. They compared 30 male and female runners who had been laid low by minor injuries for at least two weeks, with a similar group who continued to run. Those who could not run displayed more signs of depression, Anxiety and confusion, and they were far less happy with themselves and their bodies. Like other addictions, exercise, they say, appears to have withdrawal symptoms.

Of aches and pains

Over indulgence doesn't harm only the Mind, but the body as well. Initially, the exercise will do what it's supposed to, give you a fit body but once you cross the line, it can get lethal. Muscle damage, osteoarthritis, heart problems they're all waiting to make an appearance.

The body has its limitations and if you push it beyond that limit, you will harm yourself.

Obsessive exercise tends to happen among new exercisers, people who have only just started working out. So keen are they to get fit that they overstep the limits.

The initial signs of unaccustomed exercise can be exhaustion, but that leads to a build up of fatigue. This can do "irreparable harm to the body."

It isn't only muscles that are at risk, so are bones. Some "recreational" athletes push themselves to the point of injuries such as shin splints or Stress fractures, and then refuse to rest, causing greater and perhaps permanent damage.

Even a morning walk is not without risk. Too much walking can lead to osteoarthritis. When you're walking, you are working against gravity. So more than exercising your muscles, you are harming your knee joint. A lot of patients who walk up to an hour everyday come up with complaints of aches in the knee. In fact, jogging also harms the knees. Too many sit-ups can also hurt. More than 10 a day can weaken the spine. Moderation, as usual, is the key.

You should begin gradually, and combine different types of workouts, something that obsessive exercisers forget. A complication factor with people who get hooked to exercise is that they tend to perform the same workouts day after day, further increasing the chances of permanent damage.

Thinking right

Never work out so much that you feel completely exhausted at the end of it. About 45 minutes to and hour, four to five days a week, should be your limit. Your Workout should leave you feeling fresh and energetic. And make it a pint to take a day's break every week. This is important because your body needs to relax and rejuvenate.

The key to achieving this lies in your attitude. Exercising is the way to Healthy life. So if you do it only to please yourself when you stand on the weighing machine, you defeat the whole purpose of the exercise. Felling healthy should be the priority. So stop fighting with your own body and you'll be a happier person.

Remember, though, if you are experiencing back Pain of any sort, check with a healthcare professional before doing these or any exercises. And do the Exercise according to the Medical advice rendered by that professional. Sciatica is the Disease which affects nerves of the back. To control the back pain due to the nerve disease you must undergo Strength Training in physiotherapy.

If you understand the concepts of how backs get injured by bad back Exercise habits you can easily tell if you are moving in Healthy ways, if an exercise will help or harm, or if you're doing a good exercise in bad way. You're not helping yourself if all you do is a "list" of exercises. Worse, many people are given a list of things to never do again. This list is often favorite activities that made their lives worthwhile and fun.

Most people spend their lives doing activities with poor posture that rounds their lower back. They sit, stand, walk, and exercise round-shouldered and round-backed. This shortens chest and shoulder muscles in front, and over stretches and weakens your back. Like squeezing a water balloon in front, when you round forward, it squeezes the front of your discs between your back bones (vertebrae) above and below the disc.

All About The Best Stomach Exercises

First of all it is important to note that the best stomach exercises are those that a person is willing to do. No matter how effective the Exercise is, if a person isn't going to do them consistently the Exercise will not benefit that particular individual. It is also important to note that the best stomach exercises do not necessarily require equipment to perform them, although some machines and equipment may work quite well for some people.

When a person decides on a Fitness program that includes stomach exercises, it is best to include stomach exercises that work the different parts of the stomach. If a person simply concentrates on one area of their stomach, there Workout will not be as effective. The best stomach exercises, combine working the oblique, which are the side muscles, the lower abdominals, the mid section and also the upper section.

Some of the most popular stomach exercises are crunches. These are a very effective exercise and very convenient since they can be performed anywhere without any equipment. The next stomach exercise that is also very popular and goes along with the basic crunch is the side crunch, which works out the oblique.

Some people consider the best stomach exercises to be included in a Pilate's Workout. The reason for this is because in Pilates, the whole focus is on the core of the body which is the abdominal, or stomach muscles. Every movement in a Pilate's workout will work the stomach muscles either directly or indirectly.  These exercises can be found on the internet, either the exercise itself or video's that can be purchased.

Another good exercise that some Fitness experts considers to be one of the best stomach exercises involves laying flat on your stomach, leg straight and then raising your body up using your arms as your hands are clasped together and keeping your body straight as if doing a pushup. Hold this position as long as you can stand. This is an excellent movement to strengthen the whole stomach.

Remember again though that just because one person may consider a specific exercise to be the best stomach exercise that does not necessarily mean it is the best for everyone. Each person's body is different and will respond differently to certain movements. Any one serious about working on the abdominal muscles will find it most helpful to try several different stomach exercises and then determine which one they can both feel and see results with. If one exercise is simply too hard to do correctly, or does not feel like it has done anything for the Muscle group worked, that exercise is clearly not the best and the person should find what works best for them.

2. Do your research and get several price quotes from several different stores.  Typically, the more you deal with the various companies, the better deals they will come up with such as discounts, free product, financing specials, etc.

3. Tread carefully when buying over the Internet.  Some companies, like Landice and True, will void your warranty if bought over the Internet and some have restrictions on delivery distances from an authorized dealer.  If in doubt, call or email the factory.  Another issue related to Internet buying is delivery.  Many of us in the business know how difficult it is to ship a single treadmill or elliptical without having it damaged so deal with a company that has been doing it a long time and has already learned how to do it.  Another issue to keep in Mind is what you are going to do if you don't like the machine.  Most companies accept returns but the cost to ship the treadmill back to the factory can easily cost hundreds of dollars so it is quite an expensive trial test if the machine is returned.  Also curbside delivery literally means what it says...the trucking company will sit it on the curb and it's your problem to get it into the house, so either pay for inside delivery or have help ready.  Another issue is service...some internet companies have good service networks and others don't but remember that you probably won't get the type of personalized service you should expect from a local dealer.

4. Do take care of your treadmills.  Whether they require quite a bit or little maintenance, keeping the treadmill or elliptical clean and the walking belt lubricated on the treadmill can be the difference between having a great treadmill or a money pit.  Refer to our Treadmill or Elliptical Care Pamphlet for maintenance instructions.

5. If you are considering used machines, really do you homework, and then do it again.  We do rebuilding jobs for local Health clubs all the time and do this work occasionally for people who are buying health club models for the home but to do it right costs quite a bit and if someone is telling you they have a used or rebuilt at an amazing price, you typically aren't getting the entire story.

6. Since buying a treadmill is a huge investment for most people, choose your dealer and factory carefully.  As with any product, a brand new company may not be around in a few years, parts can be very specific to machines and spares may not be available if the factory isn't around.  A dealer for a reputation for high quality and personalized service is necessary for some people.  Other people feel confident in servicing their own equipment, so figure out which one you are and buy accordingly.  If you know one end of a wrench from the other, you might want to save a few dollars with an Internet purchase.  Others may need to pay for the full-service price you should get from a local dealer but if you pay the higher price, demand the higher service level.

7. Treadmills and ellipticals are different than many other home appliances.  Remember, we rate a treadmill average if it has a breakdown only once every 5 years...that's average!  Extended warranties can make sense if the manufacturer has a short warranty and if you get it from a reputable extended warranty company.  Remember the dealer is typically not the warranty provider and many have gone out of business over the years and others are hard to deal with.  For instance, UTS (Icon's warranty company) is the best we have ever dealt with.  If you get an Icon machine, buy the UTS warranty...it will be well worth it.  UTS's number is 800-677-3838.  Also, Sears has a good extended warranty program and it typically pays for itself if you use the machine.  On the other hand, we have had problems with the company called N.E.W. and many others have gone out of business so do your research on your warranty company if you have never heard of them.

8. A great final Tip is if you want to save a bit of money.  Due to the influence of Asian parts, the lower end treadmills and ellipticals are getting better and better while the price is holding the line and the ones being made today in the $800 range are much better than the $800 machines made 10 years ago.  If you need to save a few bucks and your Doctor says it is OK, use a few degrees of incline always when you use your machine.  If the machine is well maintained and if you use a bit of incline (on the treadmill), you can get by with a bit less of a machine than you might otherwise need.  The incline allows gravity to take over quite a bit of the workload from the drive system.  A treadmill used with just a slight incline will last much longer than a comparably cared for treadmill that is used at a flat level.

How to Properly Care for Your Fish Pond

For the fishing people.

If you're planning to build a landscape at your own
yard, it wouldn't be complete without an oasis of
calming effects - a fish pond. Imagine coming home
bushed up with your tiring day and you just wanted to
sit by your pond and breathe a sigh of relief.
Relaxing isn't it? Although, you can't take it all up.
There are things that you have to think of regarding
the proper care and maintenance of your fish pond.

A fish pond requires a lot of thing. When seasons are
changing, especially during crucial times like winter
and fall, special kinds of attention are needed by
your pond and the things living inside it. Worry not,
because when summer comes, every single chore and hard
work will payoff quite nicely.

What are the important materials and tools that you'll
generally need?

* Pond filter - basically, to filter every ounce of
dirt in your pond

* Fish food - to keep your fishes alive (obviously).
If you're thinking about giving your fishes fresh
drinking water, that'll be redundant.

* Leaf netting - to ward off falling leaves. Leaves
can make your pond look more like a garbage disposal
than a tranquil landscape.

* Plant fertilizer - a fish pond wouldn't be complete
if there are no plants for they provide additional
nourishment to the fish. In the absence of fish food,
plants can be a good food substitute. That is why, it
is important that plants are fertilized to grow
healthy.

Other materials that can be used, occasionally, are
the water de-chlorinator and the floating de-icer.
Below are the needed procedures.

Step # 1

Before you turn your filter on, make sure that it is
working properly and is clean. Once the filter is on,
you'll notice that unwanted debris is being flushed
out. Thus, making your pond spiffy clean. Clean you
pond filter at least once a week.

Step # 2

Feed the fish. Be sure it's fish food. Just by
determining the water and weather temperature, you can
know when or how many feedings or what kind of fish
food should you give. If the temperature of the water
is more than 50 degrees Fahrenheit, feed at least
three times daily. During spring, feed your pets cold
fish food then change it to a high protein diet the
moment the water reaches a warmth of 70 degrees
Fahrenheit. These will give them sufficient nutrients
to carry through the years.

Step # 3

Fertilize your plants at least thrice a week. If in
doubt, follow instructions given out for every plant
purchase.

Step # 4

Place the leaf net just above the pond to keep the
leaves from falling in your pond. Leaf netting is very
important especially during autumn when trees tend to
foliage.

Step # 5

Use the floating de-icer especially when the weather
gets cold to prevent the water inside the pond from
freezing. This will enable your fish to receive
appropriate amount of oxygen needed during winter.
Another alternative is to cover the fish pond with a
thick tarp, straw and plywood that can help to provide
proper insulation.

Step # 6

Drain the water inside the pond when spring comes.
While you're at it, scrape off all dead debris and
sludge. A clean pond will help your fish be healthy
and at the same time prevent the growth of bacteria
that can cause diseases in your fish.

Proper maintenance and care of your fish pond will
both be an advantage for you and your fish.
