Does The Law Of Attraction Really Work?

“Thoughts Are Things” Napoleon Hill wrote it in his famous book “Think and Grow Rich” a few decades ago. Yet to this day not many people understand its profundity. To someone who might not be familiar with the concept of manifestation, it seems like a nonsensical statement – even absurd! But to a success conscious individual, it is a powerful statement and within it contains life’s most precious secret.

Everything starts with a thought. The Wright brothers had a thought about making flying a reality. Soon enough it became a reality for them and we are the beneficiaries of their vision. Other successful individuals understand the most fundamental law: the Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction states that similar things attract to one another, thus, the saying “birds of a feather flock together.” If everything begins with thought and the Law of Attraction plays a big role in manifesting the thought, then it can be illustrated as follows:

A THOUGHT ? (attracts) OTHER SIMILAR THOUGHTS ? (attract) OTHER PEOPLE OF SIMILAR THOUGHTS ? (attract) CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ARE IN HARMONY WITH THOSE THOUTHTS ? (lead to) THE THING DESIRED BY THOSE THOUGHTS EXPRESSED IN PHYSICAL FORM

At the level of thought “things” are nothing but random energy waiting to be “assembled”. Yet they are as real as electricity is real. We can’t see electricity, but we know beyond shadows of a doubt that it exists. We also know that thoughts are real because everything that has ever been invented or created in our physical world began with a thought. The manifestation of the “thing” from the invisible plane into our physical world is enabled by the persistence of thought.

Scientists teach us that the whole universe is made of energy. Energy has frequencies. Thoughts are energy in its primitive stage. Thought energies radiate frequencies just as radio antennas radiate frequencies. The level of thought frequency determines the kind of physical manifestation and circumstance that we have; low thought frequencies correspond to the physical expression of similar frequencies while high thought frequencies correspond to things, people, or circumstance of similar frequencies.

The key to keep in mind is that thoughts are as real as any physical thing. You must be completely convinced as that it is so. Hold your thoughts long enough and in time you’ll see them manifest in your reality.

So go head. Think yourself into riches, a new home, a new car, an opulent lifestyle, happiness, meaningful relationships, peace of mind…whatever you desire. You’re limited to the kind of thoughts you hold in your mind. The Law of Attraction does work. All you need to do is check your thoughts.

This is so well said, Robin.  We all use the law of attraction and so many of us never realize the power that we possess.

Thank you George.  I can vouch for what you wrote, many of don't realize the power we possess.  And it's something how you learn it right when you need to put it to use.

My mpther taught me when you laugh the world laughs with you but when you cry, you cry alone.  Thats been proven to me many times from my own experiences & watching the experiences of others in similar situations.  I know I'm in a good place right now by the people I'm getting to know & learn from.  There is so much knoeledge being shared here I consider this to be my Master Mind group.  Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on paper.  :D

No truer words were spoken Linda.  I concur that lesson has also been proven to me many times over.  We go through so many changes over a lifetime good and bad.  Unfortunately, sometimes people we thought were our friends, even family, will abandon us at what seems like the worst time.  But one of my favorite quotes is "That that doesn't kill you only makes you stronger".  Those are the times that really test you to see what you're made of.

I also agree that there is wealth of knowledge here, Master Mind group is good name for it.  Terri really did an Awesome job putting this together.  It's good to read your work and your comments Linda.  My life is better for having met you Linda.  It's really amazing to me that you were a Clown, that's really something.  I bet you have some Stories to tell about your experiences.

A lovely post Robin, well written, well expressed. You had the idea to write this of course before you actually did it. You also saw the words, the phrases, the layout and the images in your mind's eye prior to assembling the work on screen. You maybe even imagined the many positive comments which your work would attract once published! Hey presto, here they are! So your article is itself the proof that thoughts may be as invisible, but are as real as electricity. This may come as a shock to many but it is to be insulated from reality to doubt the power of our imagination and the ability we all possess to create fabulous realities from our dreams. Thank you for lighting up my day and re-energising my belief that there is nothing I, or anyone, can't achieve once we are aware of the incredible might of our minds.

Thank you so much Tom.  Reading your Books has been life changing for, in a good way.  The quote from Andrew Carnegie, in the Front of
of "The Secret World Of Self Employment" is one I remember and say it in my mind.  "A man who acquires to take full possession of his own mind may take possession of anything else to which he is justly entitled".  That's one thing I've been guilty of in my lifetime is putting other people's wants before my own.  Which means that I was letting others control my mind.  It doesn't work.  Another gem is "Not asking anyone's permission" and using the word No.  I highly recommend your Books to anyone who is struggling with self doubt, or lack of self confidence.  I can gurantee if they really read them, absord the lessons, practice the steps, and take action, then they will suprised on what they can accomplish.  Because this is what they've done for me.

Thanks Robin for your kind endorsement of what I do. The biggest kick that you or I can get from sharing our experience-acquired knowledge is to know that there are those who take on board what's said and take the risk of employing the guidance. Only then can they create their own voice and develop their own vision of the life they wish for. I believe that readers of your article will be far better placed to progress in life for having read it.

You're welcome Tom.  But they just weren't words of kindness but truth and gratitude.  Your words are true, "take the risk of employing the guidance".  A person can research, study, read, do busy work everything, but until they take action and employ the steps, they will remain stagnant.  One of Stories in your Book that resonated with me, were the people who showed up on your doorstep, for a meal and you gave it, and one of your Books, but they didn't want that, they wanted something for nothing.  However the young boy wanted the knowledge to improve his life.  I guess that story proves, exception, that age doesn't always come with wisdom.  I've learned much from little children.

Robin, I must admit to getting a terrific kick from readers who really 'get' the nuances of what I write. Spencer Taylor over at IBO regularly expresses the value he finds in the 'hidden gems' within my stories. Yes, the 'old head on young shoulders' is but one lesson seeded in my 'Poor Man At My Door' tale. There really is little point in trying to help those who are not prepared to help themselves. Harsh perhaps, but true. Your determination to help both yourself and others shows in the vigourous response you've generated with this article. Enjoy a wonderful day, you've earned it!
