People are telling you that you need to work day and night, weekends, miss family and other events in order to be successful. Folks that statement in itself takes you out of alignment of success. If you have to neglect the people and things that are of value to you, you can’t be successful. Success is not a destination. It is not when you get to a certain level of income or to some promise land. Success is how you live your life. Are you living in alignment with your values?

We are in a world that you can have it all. I understand there are times that you will devote more time to something else, but it should never become a habit and definitely never come at the expense of those things of value.

I remember a gentleman telling me when I joined my first network marketing company (back in 1987), “Ron, for the next year or two, just put your head down. Put your girlfriend and everything else on hold. After that you will be done and never have financial issues again”.

My response, "if I have to neglect my girlfriend and things that are important to me to reach a certain financial level, then I will just take a longer route. At the end of two years, if my girlfriend is not here and I have damaged those relationships that are close to me, just to make money, than what was it worth? I want the financial success for those that I value.” By the way, that girlfriend became my wife.

Now taking this subject to an even deeper level, I got punched in the stomach with this conversation from the book: “The Soul of Money: Transforming Your Relationship With Money and Life" by Lynne Twist. She talked about how we strive so hard to get more and never think about the fact if we need it or we are just having excess. That is not what messed me up.

She talked about going shopping for her granddaughter and was excited about all the things she was going to buy. Her son called and had a heart to heart conversation about they didn’t want more than what she needed and they didn’t want to support certain brands and companies. Read the book to get the whole conversation and the rest of the powerful material in it.

Anyway, her mission is hunger projects around the world. Traveling the world and seeing what is done to kids (parents scaring them and cutting off limbs, etc. so the kid would look more desperate and create more sympathy from tourist because that was the kids way of earning income), the sweat shops and other horrible human sacrificing.

Her stories bought back the memory of the movie “Good Hair” featuring Chris Rock (which did not get as much publicity that it deserved) because he talked about the things that happen to people to get their hair from them, so we in the “wealthier countries or communities” could have excess (wigs, weaves, extensions, etc).

It hit me because we get caught up (me included) in achieving more and having more, but never stop to think about who is paying what price to allow us to have what in most cases is “excess”. We need to understand that there is enough in the world for everyone. When we get to that level as a human race, the competing to be number one and all the other things that have no value once you leave this earth will cease to exist.

What price is being paid so you can have $200 tennis shoes? We need to ask before we start spending our money on these “excess” things and supporting those that are willing to sacrifice other humans to get there.

By the way, I just saw a video a guy posted on Facebook. At a restaurant, I guess an employee went and threw a bucket of water on a homeless person that was hanging outside the place. The guy taped his conversation with the employee and it is going viral (might not be safe for that employee especially in that part of Los Angeles). The bottom line is how do we treat each other to make a dollar.

So folks, I am not saying don’t strive to have the finer things in life, but be aware of the expense that is being paid (your family or others) as you chase “more”.

It ain’t right. It ain’t wrong. It’s my opinion

Your Uplifting Life Partner

Ron Simplified Myers

To Get To Know Ron: http://ronsimplifiedmyers.com

Ron’s blog: http://ronsimplifiedmyersblog.com

Making Your Life Stand For Somethinghttps://syndicationexpress.ning.com/profiles/blogs/making-your-life-stand-for-something2014-05-16T20:30:00.000Z2014-05-16T20:30:00.000ZRon Simplified Myershttps://syndicationexpress.ning.com/members/RonSimplifiedMyers

My passion and desires surround helping people realize that the greatest gift and product that they can contribute to the world is “themselves”.

We were all created to add different ideas to the world which causes the world to expand. To understand this expansion to the world, let’s use a dollar figure. If the world’s value was $10 and you added your talent which is valued at $.01, then the worlds value is now $10.01.

Another example would be a chair. You might believe you are nothing but a button on the chair (of course we are talking about a nice comfortable chair), but if a button is missing, the chair loses its quality and value.

We must all realize that we play a role in the world and we all make the world a better place.

So my vision is to help people rewrite the unproductive thoughts they are now living. The thoughts that have them living as a victim.

When people realize they have been programmed by society and that programming is where their beliefs have come from, they can decide whether they like the results they are getting or not.

If they like the results, then they should continue on their current path.

If they are not satisfied, then it is time to rewrite our current stories.

Different thoughts, create different stories, which create different emotions, which create different vibrations and the results have no choice but to be different.

I know some of you are instantly asking, where is action in the equation?

The action should follow aligning with the “best or better feeling” emotions. When you are aligned correctly, then and only then should you take action.

Why?

As we are aware most teach “just take action.”

Well we see the results. Most people are taking action every day. Are they happy with the results? Just a question!!!

All you must understand is, your emotions are sending out vibrations (magnets) and will attract things to you to fit your current emotional state. Unproductive thoughts (emotions) will attract and open doors to more things to feel unproductive about. If your emotions are moving you towards what you “really” want, then more doors open to get you closer to that desire.

Doors open both ways. Which direction did you open it (the entrance to your desires or the exit)?

It ain’t right. It ain’t wrong. It’s just my opinion.

Your Uplifting Life Partner

Ron Simplified Myers

Get to know Ron: http://ronsimplifiedmyers.com

Have Fun or You Should Be Doing Something Elsehttps://syndicationexpress.ning.com/profiles/blogs/have-fun-or-you-should-be-doing-something-else2014-03-23T08:46:11.000Z2014-03-23T08:46:11.000ZRon Simplified Myershttps://syndicationexpress.ning.com/members/RonSimplifiedMyers

Have fun or you should be doing something else is a statement that I place in emails, post, connections, etc.

Well today I had someone challenge that statement. He talked about the horrible things that are going on in the world. How being focused on your happiness is egoist. He said it is great to pursue happiness but life happens. Then he went on to say that he doesn't get too involved (too much) with all the horrible things taking place in the world (since he can't do anything about it).

Well I could write a book on this subject and I started writing him a huge response and it got deleted as I was writing it. So I took that to mean that it was more information than was needed to address his response. As you are aware, I believe things happen for a reason, so I shot him a quick response.

It went like this: “If you only have 5 minutes to live, are you going to worry about things that you have no control over? Are you going to continue to do something that you don't want to do?

Since no one knows when it is their last 5 minutes, why would you live any other way?

See the challenge with some people is they believe they will be here forever. They can always get to things tomorrow. Well folks, one day it will be your last 5 minutes. Since you don't know when, “If you are not doing something that is fun, then you need to be doing something else”.

Like I told him, I didn't say drop everything you are doing and become irresponsible. What I am saying is you need to change your perspective, make different decisions and get out of any situation that takes you away from being happy and having fun.

It ain't right. It ain't wrong. It's just my opinion

Your Uplifting Life Partner

Ron Simplified Myers

When was the last time you did something for the first time?https://syndicationexpress.ning.com/profiles/blogs/when-was-the-last-time-you-did-something-for-the-first-time2013-09-29T14:14:39.000Z2013-09-29T14:14:39.000ZMercutio Petershttps://syndicationexpress.ning.com/members/MercutioPeters

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

There was a man who invented the art of making fire. He took his toolsand went to a tribe in the north, where it was very cold, bitterly cold. He taught the people there to make fire. The people were very interested. He showed them the uses to which they could put fire—they could cook, could keep themselves warm, etc. They were so grateful that they had learned the art of making fire. But before they could express their gratitude to the man, he disappeared. He wasn’t concerned with getting their recognition or gratitude; he was concerned about their well-being. He went to another tribe, where he again began to show them the value of his invention. People were interested there, too, a bit too interested for the peace of mind of their leaders, who began to notice that this man was drawing crowds and they were losing their popularity. So they decided to do away with him. They poisoned him, crucified him, put it any way you like. But they were afraid now that the people might turn against them, so they were very wise, even wily. Do you know what they did? They had a portrait of the man made and mounted it on the main altar of the temple.

The instruments for making fire were placed in front of the portrait, and the people were taught to revere the protrait and to pay reverence to the instruments of fire, which they dutifully did for centuries. The veneration and the worship went on, but there was no fire.

"In many lands the Christians have literally stolen Christ from the people, thay have made the Son of Man the priest of an order; they have taken Christianity away from the city and imprisoned it behind altar rails, they have withdrawn it from national life and doled it out to the few who pay to keep the unconcious deception up.

Teachers have done, did and will do it again when the need arises - purer teachings of Christ get over grown with ceremonials and dead-letterism".
