God Nudges, From Chicken To Chickpeas?

I am an animal lover but that never even entered my mind until I started to consider saving my own life by advancing from my SAD Diet (Standard American Diet) to a Whole Food Plant Based Diet...  The more research I did, the more sense it made to me the more I realized why I needed to change my lifestyle...  After being very sick for the first four months of last year, (I couldn't even walk) I decided that was the huge God Nudge I'd better pay attention to if I wanted to live a healthy lifestyle for the rest of my days...

 This is one of the best brief explanations of the healthy lifestyle I am pursuing this year...  I want to feel that I'm in control of my destiny & I think I've discovered the best way to do it...  I've seen enough proof to make me want to change to a Whole Food Plant Based Diet...  They say it's an expensive way to eat...  I say look how expensive it is to get sick these days...  By quitting all my supplements & not having to deal with prescriptions I will be saving money, plus I'll no longer be harming the planet we live on...  I will also be feeling better than I have in a long time...

 This fellow puts it in laymen's language that everyday people can understand...  I've approached this in slow motion so as to reassure myself that I'm moving in the right direction to reach my goals...  I lost thirty pounds my first year & I hadn't adapted to it fully...  This is much better than those magic pills they keep pushing these days...  :D

 I'm sharing these studies of mine in case you'd like to join me on my journey...  I have a couple of FB pages I need to update;

I am an 83-year-old, Extraordinarily Happy Networker, Senior Blogger & Mentor in Training... I have almost 32 years of personal development and recovery under my belt... I'm a firm believer in one is never too old to learn... I've recently progressed from mourning the loss of my friend, Tom Barabas to celebrating his very accomplished life and that made me feel better... He brought so much beauty and pleasure into so many lives with his music... You can find his music videos on youtube under Tom Barabas...

    Taking prescription meds and supplements are pricey. Thank God for insurance, however some don't pay the full cost and you end up paying the rest. Not good and what you're sharing sounds a lot better. I'll be looking forward to future updates from you Linda Michel White Thank you for sharing your journey to a healthy life style with us

      Thank you, Terri, for leaving a comment...  I am undertaking my journey with my doctors' knowledge & blessings...  I have a new primary care physician who is helping me make these decisions along with my cardiac doctor...  I am fortunate that Medicare has provided me with such excellent physicians...  They each have decades of experience treating geriatric patients...  I will keep you posted on my journey...  :D

    What I say to this is to each his own. I have studied the diets of people who live over 100 years, every one of them has meat as part of their diet. They also eat vegetables and fruit. You won't find much if any processed food on their tables. Their meat isn't coming out of a supermarket. Neither are their fruits and vegetables. Today whole grain would be considered a joke. Many large farms spray with Roundup so they can harvest early. During my years on earth I have dropped to a life threating weight 2 times. During both of those times I was on a plant based diet. One size does not fit all.

      Thank you, Dennis, for leaving your comment...  I'm not promoting my way or the highway...  I'm sharing what's working for me because I have a heart condition...  I'm fortunate that I haven't yet suffered life-threatening events which is why I need to take responsibility for my health...  I'm doing this by including my doctors in my plan...  They're delighted...  I'm only suggesting to anyone who has health problems to examine all of their options...   :D
