In any type of business especially Network Marketing there will be people stating that they either can't build this business for various reasons or that they can't Start right now for various reasons. Although you might see this as valid FACTS why they Can't do either or, but they are actually EXCUSES. In this blog post I'm going to break down the difference between someone giving FACTS and someone giving Excuses.
When Your Attitude Is Right The FACTS Don't Count
Towards the end of this blog post you will understand what this statement REALLY MEANS. So, let's start with the most common objections that most people say. "I don't have the MONEY". "I think the market is saturated with competition when it comes to that product". "I can't recruit Leaders and I can't recruit in high volume". "I'm shy and I don't like to talk to people". "I don't have the time". "I have children and I work 60-70 hours per week". "I have to wake up early for work and I can't go to bed late as I need my sleep". "The Auto-Ship costs too much".
Now all of these objections may be true BUT THEY ARE EXCUSES! If you notice on all these objections they state WHY they can't do a Network Marketing business. Now you are probably saying, "Well these are tire kickers, they should be disqualified". Guess what, You are RIGHT but people are getting these EXCUSES from their downlines, they are getting this from their leads, they are JUST all over. I'm NOT just talking about Prospects giving these Excuses. The main reason why someone would come up with an Excuse is because they are Focused on the HOW! Which leads me into a story of what I mean.
Darren Hardy from Success Magazine states that "you don't need to know the HOW to build a Network Marketing Business, all you need is "WHY POWER". He went on to tell this story, if you were to stand on the top of a tall building and look across another building with a wooden plank and someone told you, "if you walk across this plank I will give $20.00". Would you walk across the plank? Probably not! But what if you were in the same situation and you looked at the other building but it was on FIRE with your child stuck in the building. The ONLY way to save your child from the BURNING building is to walk across the wooden plank and save your child. Would you do it NOW? Most people, like 99% would say "YES" $20.00 or NOT I'm going to save my child.
So what changed? You said "NO" to $20.00 for crossing then all of a sudden you are now crossing it for FREE! You want to know what changed? YOUR WHY!! The $20.00 wasn't enough for you so you thought about all the reasons WHY NOT to cross, HOW you can fall and perhaps KILL yourself BUT something changed. Your WHY changed because your child was in the burning building and you then didn't THINK about the HOW anymore, all you can think is that your child could DIE if you don't go and save him/her.
So, what's the point here? Good question. After reading that story I mention that too many times we THINK about things and what we THINK gets justified as FACTS but when your WHY is changed the FACTS all go away. What you THINK are FACTS aren't really FACTS, they are people's opinions. "I don't have the money". "I can't recruit leaders". "I don't have the time". etc etc etc ARE ALL OPINIONS. But when you change your WHY, you make things happen! All of a sudden you find the money to get started in a Network Marketing business. All of a sudden you find 2-5 hours in a week to build your business. All of a sudden you start recruiting Leaders into your business.
IT'S YOUR ATTITUDE, IT'S YOUR WHY THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR BUSINESS. YOUR THINKING IS WHAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOMEONE THAT MAKES EXCUSES AND SOMEONE THAT IS MOTIVATED BY THEIR WHY.
