How would you like to “own” this backyard with a few caveats?
You don’t get the Deed.
You don’t get to mow the grass.
You don’t get to pay for your gardener.
You don’t get to pay for landscaping.
You don’t get to pay taxes on the property.
You don’t get to obtain a permit to make additions.
YOU do:
Get to Visit at will during daylight hours.
Get to enjoy yourself with friends.
Get to sit and meditate.
Get to enjoy taking as many pictures as you wish.
Get to stroll the garden as you enjoy the sunshine.
Earlier I made a video where I stressed that we need to have a new mindset as to the worship of money.
I suggested that in lieu of owning anything, work at having access to the things you need when needed.
Instead of counting money, evaluate based on what money can do.
Instead of pleasing the neighbors and friends.
Please yourself.
Someone did not like my assessment. Oh well.

Dave, I learned a long time ago when I see something that is so beautiful I don't have to own it to enjoy it... God gave me two eyes so I could enjoy the beauty in His world... He gave me a memory so when I see it I can store it away in my memory bank, so I can restore it at will whenever I might need a spiritual lift... Since my wants aren't always what I need, God provides my needs, not all my wants... Thank you for sharing this... I'm going to put this in a blogpost tonight & share it on my SYNDICATION EXPRESS BLOGGING PLATFORM. It will go out to the TOP social sites so I only have to post it once... 😚😚😚 and it get massive exposure.

Linda, I love your first sentence, 'When I see something beautiful I don't have to own it to enjoy it'.  The Earth would be a place to inhabit if more people thought that way.  That Beauty in Nature is to be shared by all it's not just for the pleasure of the Wealthy.  Everything we want isn't always good for us a lesson well learned.

Thank you, Robin for sharing your thoughts about my post...  My friends are from a very divers bunch of people...  I have many who's ancesters inhabited this land before it was stolen from them...  I often think if we had adopted their way of life when we first arrived & practiced what they tried to teach us this would still be the beautiful land, God created...  The things my white ancesters brought to this country was greed, selfishness & cruelty...  I've done much reading, even studying the plight of my multi-colored sisters & brothers that the truth started to emerge...  I always wondered why I had never heard these stories before...  From my self education I'm learning more about why they had been hidden from us...  I loved Bible stories when I was a young girl...  I always felt like somehing was missing from what I was being taught in school...  I didn't drop out but I left school because of that...  Know I know I did the right thing...  I had absolutely no interest in European history...  I wanted to learn about our history, not algebra which I knew I would never use...  But I've given much thought about this & I'm so glad for all the people of color that I've met...  They have strength such as I've never known & many are smarter than myself...  I've often  thought about this incredible resource we have that we've wasted & are still wasting today because of prejudice & the attitude of white supremecy which is all just another lie...  Well, I'm done with my little rant...  Thank you for letting me unlosd...  I just had to tell someone how I feel inside & you just happened to be here...  Have a good night's sleep & a wonderful day tomorrow...
To lighten my mind before I go to sleep:

      I always loved Soul Train!
      Good night my wonderful friend...

We are essentially custodians and we should ain to please the one in the mirror and the one upstairs, thanks, Linda.

Temporary custodians sums it up perfectly Georhe. My thought exactly. I refer to just that in 'Road To Joyful Living'. Why am I not surprised that you, and Linda, see it the same way.

Thank you for your comment, Tom...  I like the phrase you came up wirh, temporary cusrodians...  How very appropriate...  The thing I enjoy most about writing, it makes me think about things I don't normally think about...  I enjoy doing the research for my topics so I'm never bothered with "writers' block"...  I consider it like doing inspirational pushups...

Terri, the photo & story were done by a good friend of mine, Dave Clarke, US Navy veteran where he was taught photography...  Obviously they found a skill he was well suited for...  We've been friends for years...  He's originallu from Jamaica...  His entire family is quite talented...  He's related to Harry Belafonte...

This is one of his earliest videos but it's become one of my favorites...

This is a wonderful post Linda.  The music is calming, relaxing and the photography is very pleasing to the eye and mind.
