These days, Adwords is dominated by big spenders and companies who contract out their services to small businesses for a fee. Don't get me wrong, it still works really well, but it requires more money than it used to.

Enter Facebook.

I've actually shifted all my PPC activities to Facebook over the past year, and I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner. I'm actually able to target better, spend less money, and create far, far more engagement with my audience on Facebook than I ever could on Google, Bing/Yahoo, or anywhere else.

The secret is in Facebook's ability to allow very specific targeting... well beyond the simple demographics and interests that users might have.  As a result, I am able to pinpoint HIGHLY engaged audineces in whatever niche I might be marketing to.  For example, when I market franchise sales, I can target downsized mid-level executives or people who participate in franchise forums. If I want to market a diet pill or other health related CPA (click-pwr-action) offer, I can simply run a list of people who participate in groups on the topic of weight loss or whever else I might be promoting. And if I am looking for business clients to use my Facebook marketing services, I can easily identify ones whose fan pages clearly need a little love.
