The History of my Facebook Page

The History of my Facebook Page

In the early days of Facebook, I thought it would be a good way of keeping in touch with friends

But I need to open a Facebook account, but I mistakenly set up a FB page, which I thought was for setting up an account

I added "Setting Up Profile", but found I was still unable to gain access to Facebook to comment or meet any friends

I was frustrated and forgot about "Setting Up Profile" until others started liking my unintended page

After a little while, I started replying to questions that other users asked, and I updated the cover several times. Like this one below

13758072061?profile=RESIZE_710xEven though some were written in other languages, I made use of Google Translate so I could reply in their language

In the  process of running this unintended page, I added a FREE ebook that new users could download after liking my page

The number of visitors kept growing to my accidental page, until a notice from Facebook ""Your FB has been 'Unpublished"

No warning or explanation, I could still access, but was unable to post! Gone forever now!

The "no warning or explanation" happens much too often, thanks, Graham.

    • Thanks, George, for responding to my "The History of my Facebook Page" Sadly, YouTube has become obsessed with annoying & unstoppable adverts

Facebook has changed so much and their focus is on getting people to see those ads they get paid big money for everyday.

Granted this is good for them, and its too many ads, it's an overkill when that's all you see in your newsfeed. I can relate to your experience because it happened to me. Someone hacked my page using Instagram. Get this I don't even have an Instagram account. I contacted Facebook and they didn't even respond to me. I created a new account, and I'm not active like I was. I lost everything (3 fan pages, 6 or 7 groups and my profile page).

In closing this was a learning experience for me. They not the only social media site on the internet.

I pray that you have moved on from this experience.

    • Thank you, Terri, for commenting on my "The History of my Facebook Page" Sorry to hear about your page being hacked

In answer to your question. Yes, I move on by using my personal account to keep in touch with friends. But not as much as before

The reason I became a member of "syndicationexpress" was out of frustration at Facebook never responding

I still use WordPress for my blogs
