When you publish a new blog post, you must ping it. This sends a signal to the search engines that tells them their is new content on your blog/article.
Doing this will result in you getting indexed more quickly. If YOU don't ping it, it will take longer for Google and all the search engines to find your new post, since they have so many sites to go through. They will find your new content to your blog post eventually, it will take a little time though. This can be a week or several weeks, and make sure your keywords are indexable so you will be ranked and indexed in Google and other search engines.
Pinging is your way of telling the search engines that you have a new post/content on your blog.
NOTE: Put the link for your new post only and not your blog link.
Example:
Here's my blog link: http://surviving-n-mlm.blogspot.com
Here's my post link:
http://surviving-n-mlm.blogspot.com/2011/11/internet-targeted-traffic-all-in-days_06.html
Notice the difference in how the link looks. The latter link will take you to the post only. The first one will take you to all my blog post.
Please don't submit your whole blog link because when you go back to submit again, you will get an error message that says it has been pinged already and you won't be able to ping it again. If you try to do it again, they may say you are spamming and block you from pinging.
Now the reason for this whole post, is to share a pinging site that I have been using. It is free and you can use it too.
So if you haven't been pinging your post then start pinging every blog post/article you publish today and get them indexed in the search engines so you can get the targeted traffic you need to be successful and make money online.

Julie pinging is how you let the search engines know that you have new content on your website or just published a new post to your blog. This is how they will index your site in their search engines provided you have good keywords and quality content. Every time you publish a new post, you should ping it. Example: When you publish a new press release on IBO, it is pinged for you and this is how the IBO system is set up.
