They are called different things within different organizations, but a catch up call is a chance to check in with the members of your team and see how they are doing with their business. They are VITAL to keeping your business strong. Maybe you didn’t get that with your upline so make sure that you keep in touch with your team.
As a leader, attrition is one thing that can cripple your business. Attrition is inevitable, and you need to be prepared for a certain percentage to happen. But if an unexpected amount happens, it can affect you meeting your goals which can affect leadership levels, contests, and ultimately, your income.
One way to avoid this is to have your finger on the pulse of your team. You need to know what they are doing, what their goals are, and if anything has changed in their business. Best of all, you need to know how you can help them and they need to know that you care about their business.
It is best if these calls are scheduled so you both know when they will occur. 15-20 minutes is usually enough. If someone has a more serious issue, you can schedule another time to talk separately.
A few questions you should be asking are:-
“How are your monthly goals going?”
“Have you set your goals for the upcoming month?”
“What changes have there been, if any, in your business?”
And the most important question you can ever ask …”What can I help you with to move your business forward for you?”.
If it’s something you can answer over the phone…great. If it’s something you need to get back to them on, give them a specific date that you will have an answer for them by…and make sure you meet the deadline.
Having regular catch up calls will keep the lines of communication open with your team and hopefully avoid any shocking news at the end of a month!

How to Convert Prospects to Customers
I am sure you have come across those prospects who just flatly refuse to believe in what you have to tell them and they want to contradict everything you say. Well here is something that might get them to see your side of things and agree with your point of view.
Don’t Keep on Pushing Them or You Will Push Them Away !
You need to learn very early on in network marketing how to answer objections …
Only one problem ….. even the right, accurate answer still may not always get you what you want but you have at least tried.
Some people think that network marketing is a pyramid scam, or only the people at the top seem to be earning the money – some think that MLM’s are illegal businesses or only people who already have big networks in place can get rich. By just simply telling them the opposite thing may not work at all and you have have won the argument but you are likely to lose the customer.
Do you like to be wrong? No of course you don’t and nobody likes to be proven wrong so when you push, they are going to push evenharder back at you and the harder you push to try and change their minds the harder they are going to try to entrench themselves in their opinion. They are more than likely going to say “I know that I am right because I have met people who have lost a lot of money doing this MLM work” !!
Now if they believe they are right and you can’t get them to change their mind, are you going to just give up? No you are not. You can use the power of appreciation to get them to see your point of view …..
Listen to What They Have to Say
One of the first steps in appreciation is to find out where your prospect is coming from and listen to their side of the story. Stop making statements and just ask them more questions. The questions don’t even have to be work related. Find out a bit more about your prospect and about their family if they are prepared to talk about them.
Now they are probably going to say to you that your business is just a pyramid scam. So then you can ask them “what do you mean by a pyramid scam and why do you say that my business is a pyramid scam”?
Don’t be defensive when you ask them these questions. You want them to understand that you are curious as to why they think like that. You need to sincerely understand their side of the story by saying things like “How do you mean?” or “Help me to understand what you mean”. Or maybe ask them “What makes you say that?” – all these questions are meant to probe your prospects emotions. By doing this they are likely to start relaxing and putting their guard down ….
When you ask someone to clarify their statement, they sometimes may see by their own admission that their opinion was unfounded or inaccurate – for example they may that it is shaped like a pyramid so they thought it was a pyramid scheme – then is you are lucky they might even decide to correct themselves all on their own without your help !!
If this doesn’t happen you are at least a step closer to an agreement.
Always, Always Appreciate their Point of View
The key trigger here for this kind of approach requires as much sincerity as when you were listening – so simply acknowledge their point of view. This isn’t to say that you agree with them ! It just means you see their side of it even if you don’t share it. So spoken truthfully by saying “I understand how you feel” is a very powerful statement. It means that you have understood them and that their side made sense. By doing this, people will feel that you have respected their opinion and that in return invites them to respect yours.
You could go a step further by saying that if you were in their shoes, you would probably feel the same way. You could say “I do understand how you feel. You spent $1,000 into an MLM and you didn’t manage to make your money back. To lose that sort of money in any business is rough and if it happened to me I would probably feel the same way and would not give network marketing another chance”
Once again, let the signal be clear – that you sincerely understand their side of things. Once they see that it is easier for the two of you to agree on something.
You Have to Get Them To Appreciate You
You can now move on with stating your side of the story. You need to get them to see the merit of your point of view. One often used method is the 3 F’s. Feel, Felt and Found method.
“I fully understand how you feel. I once thought that I was terrible at sales and not in a million years did I think I would be able to answer a sing question that any customer threw at me, but I found that the company trains its downline impeccably. I wasn’t even allowed to do a presentation until they thought I was ready. They also teach that it is not about the selling of products, it is finding out how you can help others with those products”.
or
“I get what you are saying. I also thought the same when I started out on my networking journey. I thought that only the people above me would get rich and that I would lose my investment. Then I realised they were personally interested in my development and were willing to help on a one to one basis to be my business up and running. I was taught everything I needed to know to be successful. If you put in the work you can be successful. I am grateful to all my upline who have helped me in this way”
So now because you didn’t undermine what your prospect said, they will find it easier to appreciate what you say and mutual appreciation is going to open the door to agreement. This is one of the most efficient ways to close a prospect.

I had never heard of a Triop and was so intrigued that I had to buy a kit to find out just what these little pond monsters were !! Mine are just two weeks old at the moment ….. and I have magnified them a little !
Well believe it or not they have been around for 300 million years and they are pronounced “try-ops”. They are also called Tadpole or Shield Shrimps and they are creatures that biologists often call living fossils for which Triops have truly earned their title.
These little creatures are from around the Triassic period and have witnessed lots of large and spectacular creatures, including seeing dinosaurs come and go !
So what is the secret of their success? Very simple …. they are masters of a habitat that has become too tough for many – and that is the temporary pool. They love shallow puddles that appear when it rains but they dry up very quickly so that causes a problem. The temperatures of these puddles go up and down and then again so do the chemicals in the water.
If you decide to breed these at home you cannot use tap water. It has to be bottled water and even better rain water if you can collect it in a butt. You also need to keep them at a room temperature of at least 21 degrees centigrade.
Triops only live for a very short time between 3 and 6 weeks but when I mentioned earlier about what happens when the water in the puddles dries up they leave behind the next generation of eggs which you can then repeat the process. The eggs are almost invisible measuring around 0.4mm across.

These days there are so many small businesses that are closing down which quite possibly could have been saved by doing things differently.
In this world of internet and technology things are all changing. People are changing their habits in how they shop today. When you think about it the internet has really changed the way that people shop and buy today. A few years ago you never heard of buying your groceries online and getting them delivered and people are using the internet these days to buy just about anything that they need. As with online marketers and entrepreneurs we need to keep up with all the changes in the way we market and want our online business to be a success.
If you don’t keep up with the changes in your marketing skills you could quite easily become another statistic on the failure list.
If you want to make 2016 your best ever year then below are a few tips that I would like to share with you to make your small business a success.
1. What Worked and Didn’t Work in 2015
Sit down and make a list of what worked and what didn’t work for you this year. You may possibly find that you have a larger negative list than a positive list. If you don’t study then history is going to repeat itself. Maybe you could have done more marketing or perhaps you weren’t targeting the right market. Maybe your timing wasn’t right. Check out what advertising strategies worked best for you and then try and improve them.
2. You Need a Marketing Plan
Yes I know what you are thinking ‘I have heard it all before’ – maybe you think you don’t have the time to sit and write out a couple of pages of plans, or perhaps you don’t know how to but believe me you need this plan. Make a list of where you are at right at this moment plus what you are earning (if anything!).
Make a list of your new and old customers. Write down the number of hours you are working then set yourself some goals of where you want to be in 1 year, 5 years or 10 years even. Set yourself just three strategies that you want to use to achieve those goals. It could be social media, email marketing, attraction marketing, doing webinars or perhaps you prefer to work offline, but once you have picked the three to use then implement them and just stick to the three. Write down what you want to achieve and improve on a monthly basis.
3. Find a Good Mentor
When I started online marketing about 14 years ago I was on my own and I never got any advice from anyone and that is one thing you don’t want. Find a good mentor and leader and don’t be afraid to ask for advice and if you follow what they tell you then you can’t go wrong. Make sure it is someone that has been in the same position as you are in and that is now successful. If you have the funds it is always a good idea to pay for a coach or consultant. You will be saving yourself a lot of time and money in the long run.
4. Focus on Helping Others
If you are running your business just to be making money then you could run in to big problems, especially if you are just pitching your products that you want to sell. You need to first focus on your customers and potential customers to find out what their needs are and their problems and goals if they have any and then just focus on how you can help them achieve these things. If you can help others reach their goals then you will automatically reach your own goals.
5. Keep Your Website Updated
It does not have to be costly to buy and host a domain and by having a website of your own is the most effective way for marketing your business today. As you will have noticed there is a lot of competition out there so you don’t want to throw together just any basic website. Make sure you have a great design and if you can, blog daily. It doesn’t just have to be about what you are selling as people don’t want to read about the same thing every day. You can blog about your personal life and family to show that you are a real person or perhaps something that is interesting on the news. As long as you are giving value content on what people want to know that is going to help them then you are well on your way to driving traffic to your site.
6. Make Time For Friends and Family
Don’t try and do everything yourself at once as all work and no play ‘makes Jack a dull boy!’ . I learnt the hard way !! Once you are earning an income from your business perhaps you could think about out-sourcing if you find that you are not having the time to blog daily. You will find some sites that are offering to write articles for you and you can find them as cheap as $5 if you search around. But obviously you only get what you pay for. But most of all make sure you HAVE A LIFE as well as a business otherwise you will just get overwhelmed and burn yourself out.
So LEARN === TAKE ACTION === GET RESULTS !! – AND make time for family and friends and do something you enjoy doing outside of work while making your small business a success.

YouTube Video Marketing is now one of the most popular places on the internet today and you will find that people are spending more and more time on there now, sharing, liking and commenting on each others videos. There are millions of people on the site daily making it THE place to use as a platform to reach out to potential customers for their business. I have listed four tips below to help you attract the right people to your videos that could also help you in your rankings with Google because as you know Google owns YouTube as well.
1) Quality Content for YouTube Video Marketing
I am sure you have come across some videos that you never watch to the end as you don’t find them very interesting, so it is crucial that you offer valuable content and the first few seconds are the most important as you want to grab the viewer’s attention, so make that first few seconds about your offer sound curious so that they want to carry on watching and then offer your valuable information so that people want to share, like and comment on it.
2) Keywords Are Essential
It doesn’t matter how good your video is – if you don’t have the correct keywords then people are not going to find you. So it is always advisable to do a bit of keyword research and once you have found the keywords, you want try and place the main keyword at the beginning of the title of the video. Always place your website url at the beginning and end of your description and always use your keyword in the description as well. Then put your keywords in the tags in speech marks “-“. Therefore once people start searching for that keyword then they are going to find you and you are more likely to get more views and shares.
3) Video Length
There is no right or wrong length for a video but I would say that anything from one to four or five minutes is always a good way to start as people’s attention span doesn’t normally last longer than that, especially if it is a video that doesn’t capture your attention, otherwise viewers are not going to listen to the end and that is where you want to give your call to action.
4) Make It Fun
Don’t be too serious when making your video. It is OK to have a bit of a laugh and a joke and just have fun. I am sure you have seen many videos that have great content and the person making the video will have a bit of a joke to add in which makes them look like a “real” person. If you are too serious on a video it will show and can often end up not being a good video. Just be yourself and have fun making those videos. So if you want to get noticed on YouTube just follow the tips above and subscribe to other peoples channels where you can share their videos which will almost always lead to your videos being shared giving you more exposure to your business. Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone – If you are writing about the same topic day in and day out your readers are going to start thinking “does he/she know anything else?” – by doing this it looks as if you have nothing else to offer. Don’t be scared of change ! Branch out and cover a few different topics. With a bit of research you can write about anything…..
3. Don’t Be Impatient – No matter what it is you want to achieve, it is not going to happen overnight (although many people think this !!) Get your priorities right and don’t be impatient. Over time you will develop your writing skills which is going to be your investment.
4. Be Passionate About Blogging – Readers will soon notice if you are passionate about blogging or article writing. I have been on some websites where I think to myself – WHAT!! Something that is of no interest to anyone and they are just trying to get a bit of information out thinking it is going to boost their rankings. Be excited and passionate and you will find yourself writing compelling and valuable content.
5. Don’t Get Agitated-Stay Calm – If you don’t stay calm you are going to just write anything without thinking just to get that content out there. By staying calm and positive will have a positive effect on your writing. We all get writer’s block at some time or another. Put pen down and take a break and just stay calm. You will soon overcome that negative feeling and the positive energy will flow.
6. Don’t Think Of Your Competitors – Concentrate on what valuable content you can get out there – get readers hooked on reading what you write – you have to get them to KNOW, LIKE and TRUST you and if you are envious of other bloggers that will get you nowhere. As they say ‘things can only get better’ and you will eventually conquer your competitors with YOUR compelling content !! Never think of quitting by thinking that the grass is greener on the other side ….. A little change is all it needs.
7. Don’t Be Humble – Always be proud of the work you produce and know that there is always room for improvement – if someone criticises something in your work, take it on board and know that you can learn from this. Don’t think that you know all there is to know. Even the great gurus and mentors are still learning daily.

If Google can stay dominant and keep up with what their users need for social influence on the products and services they already have, they will remain a dominant and profitable force on the internet for a very long time to come, and it will be a challenge for anyone to beat them.
It is hard to believe but Google has one billion registered and 359 million active users searching daily and when people click on ads for just cents per click they still have an abundance of revenue on which to build.
Yes, people spend a lot of time on Facebook these days, but Google+ is going from strength to strength and it is a great way to get your business seen. Another great thing about Google+ is the fact that you can have a ‘hangout’, where you can hang out with your team members and have a meeting. It is also a great place for families and friends, especially if they are scattered all around the world, like so many are today. Do you think “will your state pension will be enough” for you to live the life you have always wanted and dreamed about? I am sure there are many people out there like myself who are on State Pension that know that it does not go very far and for the younger generation it is going to get even harder. With so many people out of work (some by choice ! who just don’t want to work) and others that have been trying so hard for months, sometimes years to find a suitable job with a decent salary but just cannot seem to find one.
By the time the younger generation reach pension age it is quite likely that there will not be a state pension any more and if they are not in work and not paying into a pension scheme then what are they going to do? Therefore a lot of people nowadays are turning to internet marketing as they know if they get in with the right company and get the right training and support then they can build to that residual income which is going to give them a better quality of life. I know there are a lot of sceptical people out there (I was one of them a few years ago) but as I said – The Right Company – The Right Training and The Right Support there is no reason why you cannot work and build to achieve that extra income. I know there are a lot of people who would prefer to have a steady job and know that they are getting that monthly wage coming in. But why not do both?
When I was younger I was working three different jobs a day just to make ends meet and I know there are also others out there doing the same. If I had known about these opportunities when I was younger I know I would have done this years ago. But at least I know I am going to achieve my goals and live comfortably in my retirement.

I have been ill with flu (from my flu jab) for the last few weeks and just getting back into things again. Plus having to start over with my websites !! So I have done my first AGAIN post !!
We all want to grow a big email list as we need this to get our business off to a good start but are you worried about people unsubscribing?
You shouldn’t worry about people unsubscribing you should be happy.
There are many autoresponder companies out there although myself I use Aweber as I find that easy to get on with ……
People will jump onto your list either from your emails, capture pages, solo ads, free ads, video advertising and blogging.
We are all trying to put out great content with useful information that is going to help people when they read your posts. You want to try and please the people that are returning to your website so you keep giving out useful information. It needs to be appealing to make sure these visitors return.
Are you writing with perhaps just one subscriber in your mind? Perhaps you are treading cautiously because you are worrying about losing this subscriber.
You might then find someone who is a returning visitor over and over again who might be interested in something totally different to what you have to offer so you then try to cover information for that person. By now you know that this person is not going to join you or buy any of your products.
This is when you have to make it clear that you are passionate about your business and trying to teach other people how to sell, market their products, get customers in order to get paid. Therefore you need to make it obvious that you are running a business and that you are going to have services and products to offer people.
This person is just being one of your fans but you know that they are not going to join you or buy any of your products. So it should be a relief to you if they unsubscribe from your list. It is far better to have one or two hundred subscribers that you know are going to open your emails, read your posts and find them interesting, rather than having a list of a few thousand that you know are just going to delete your emails or not even bother to read your blog posts. Quality is far better than quantity !
So next time you get a notification that someone has unsubscribed just remember they were never going to be one of your future customers. Now you can concentrate on your faithful leads that are sticking with you and reading what you have to offer.
By using an autoresponder they are able to just unsubscribe automatically rather than them emailing you and asking you to take them off of your list. I myself have often had to email someone and ask them to take me off of their list, then it doesn’t always happen and you receive more emails from that same person. On the plus side it is much more professional.
If you make it easy for someone to unsubscribe you know that you are going to only have people on your list who want to hear from you and quite possibly join you one day.
So if you are worried about having unsubscribers ………Then don’t worry be happy !!!

Now you can quickly create videos on the go, so there’s no complicated set-up or planning involved. Socialcam, unlike the iMovie app, is free and makes it easy and convenient for recording, editing and publishing videos. It also has a variety of features that make it perfect for video bloggers.
Unlimited video length – One of the nice things about this app is that you can create a video as long as you want. Of course this doesn’t mean you should. Remember, the shorter the video the better. People tend to lose attention after just a couple minutes, so if your video is longer than three minutes you’ll probably lose their attention.
Filters – Filters are a fun way to add some creativity and personality to your video. Just be careful that you don’t overdo it. Truth is, this is a big step for anyone and everyone looking to find their long-term calling and get good at it. However, with a little self-reflection, a lot of hard work, dedication and planning, you’ll find your perfect career in no time.
If you are not sure what steps to take in order to choose the right career, here are some helpful insights that will definitely make this path easier:
1. Know yourself
Each successful business adventure starts with you knowing who you are, what you can do and what your interests are.
Once you are clear on what you are good at and what motivates you, you’ll be a few steps closer to your dream job. If there are several fields you are interested in and good at, think which of them sparks your interest and that powerful drive inside you!
2. Rely on your hobbies
People rarely get the chance to turn their much loved hobbies into carrier, but it’s not impossible. And when it happens – it’s a true joy! If your job doesn’t feel like working but doing something you love, you are looking at a long, successful career.
For instance, many have turned their writing gift into freelance blogging, ghost writing, content writing, journalism, etc. and managed to earn a fine living.
Do you like playing video games? Maybe you could consider becoming a video game designer, programmer, or QA specialist.
It’s not uncommon to hear that people with natural gift for art have become graphic designers, architects, interior decorators, etc.
If you are a sports junky, taking a course and getting certified to become fitness instructor should be the first step to your amazing career!
3. Interpersonal skills matter
Most jobs are tightly related to the way you handle yourself in communication with other people. People who are open, communicative and always interact with others well can easily get careers in fields where client-communication is necessary.
For instance, working as social workers, marketing people, stewardesses, journalists, TV presenters, PR people and similar business positions requires a high interest in cultivating relationships with people around you and demand pleasant approach to it.
However, not everybody is a communication-wizard and that’s okay. If you know communication with others isn’t your strong suit choose a career that won’t much require it.
If you’re more the type to take care of others, consider nursing or work as an administrative assistant or office manager.
If you like taking care of people, maybe a job of a nurse, doctor, social worker or other may be just the thing for you.
4. Consider what skills you excel in
Not everybody is gifted with a particular skill or talent, but if you are it’s important you use it well! This ranges from being talented to make and fix things to coming up with major IT solutions, video games fashioning, participating in digital field, etc. The options are numerous!
While formal education poses a major break for most people, it’s also fair not to pursue it if you feel you could use your skills in other ways. For instance, if you feel like you’d be wasting your time at University, then start making money just after high school or college. Skilled labor is always needed and you will find it fairly easy to find work.
Are you talented for hair and makeup? Pursue a career as a stylist and makeup artist!
Do, auto repair, carpentry, construction and electrical work feel like something you’d be perfect for? Then, get certificates for any of the fields you’re drawn to and start making money!
Do you feel you would be a great IT expert operating with such great brands like Samsung 850 SSD and alike? Then do it!
5. Finances matter
And while there will be people saying it doesn’t matter how much you are paid as long as you do what you love, you honestly don’t want to thread this path.
Even though doing what you love is super fulfilling, if at the end of the month you don’t have enough money to pay rent, the frustration will in time build up and you’ll end up hating the job you initially adored!
So, being practical about choosing your career is very important. Do a thorough research and explore our options. You never know what good options may emerge!
