I am one of those people who very seldom get angry.  When I say angry, I mean mad, really mad.  This kind of rage or any rage for that matter is negative energy to me.  Oh, don’t get me wrong, I do get irritated when someone drops the ball.  I get annoyed in bad traffic.  Once in a while I will raise my voice to make myself heard but never to the extent that I let anger get the better of me.  I just refuse to lose control, no matter how much someone tries to provoke me.  Many have tried.  I guess it is part of my training as an educator and having to be role models for impressionable young minds.

However, on rare occasions, I have to go there.  It was a few years ago, somewhere between 2003 and 2005 that I got so angry that I thought I was going blind.  My sister, her husband and I were traveling home to see our mom.  We were hungry and decided to stop at a very well known fast food place to get food.  The customer service person had a very nasty attitude and acted like she did not want to wait on us.  I just said, “Oh well, she is having a bad night.  I hope thing get better for her.”

We paid for our food and had some change coming to us.  I was in the back seat and ask for extra napkins in the most polite manner.   Continue here..

  • Wise words, Kathleen.  We are sometimes driven to an untypical state of anger and it is not a good place to be.  Thanks so much for sharing!

I liked what you said at the end Kathleen. "Being nice can be easy as breathing." Very powerful statement. Shared via Syndication Automation and Pinterest. Keep up the great writing and continued success for you.
