Express Gratitude
Kathy Azar, RScP
So, it’s the day after Thanksgiving. Yesterday many of us sat down with friends and family and enjoyed a feast. Most of us probably paused sometime during the day and expressed gratitude for the many things and people in our lives. I would like to encourage all of us to continue that feeling of appreciation and gratitude throughout the year. We take so much for granted and it’s truly important to recognize and be grateful for everything and everyone every day. Immerse yourselves in gratitude today and every day.
Recognize the good in all people and say, “Thank you”. Thank you for all of the goodness that you bring to the world! Thank you for your kindness! Thank you for your generosity! Thank you for your compassion! Thank you for your understanding! Thank you for your patience! Thank you for your time! Thank you for listening! Thank you for sharing! Thank you for your song! Thank you for your big heart! Thank you for your creativity! Thank you for your imagination! Thank you for your love! Thank you for your wisdom! Thank you for your joy! Thank you for sharing your truth! Thank you for your support! Thank you for your encouragement! Thank you for your friendship! Thank you for shining your light! Thank you for your sincerity! Thank you for your honesty! Thank you for your loyalty! Thank you for your enthusiasm! Thank you for your tenacity! Thank you for your perseverance! Thank you for your companionship! Thank you for your strength! Thank you for your intelligence! Thank you for your passion! Thank you for your happiness! Thank you for your inspiration! Thank you for your cheerfulness! Thank you for your beauty! Thank you for your energy! Thank you for your empathy! Thank you for your openness! Thank you for your authenticity! Thank you for your faith! Thank you for your integrity! Thank you for your gentleness! THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!!!
By doing this you not only thank others, but you also acknowledge and thank yourself. For we are all one and we simply mirror each other’s qualities. As Marianne Williamson stated in her book A Return To Love, “We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same”.
So, go out there and shine your light! Express your gratitude! Share your love! And so it is!! Namaste’
