Burnout is a type of career depression caused by a feeling of powerlessness. Issues may be causing stress, but stress doesn’t always lead to burnout. Stress is the condition where your body is overly taxed. Stress passes, burn out stays.

When burnout occurs, you feel powerless, overwhelmed, depressed, dispirited, no motivation, and no sense of control over events. Your mind is filled with negative questions but no answers that keep on playing. These thoughts can set off the brain draining chemistry of fear.
