How To Set Goals Like Successful People Do
I thought I would do a series of short posts on this subject
Day 1

I am sure many of you set goals, but only a few of us follow through and bring our goals to fruition!……….
So you might be asking yourself why do so many of us set goals at the start of the new year only to abandon ship before the spring? I am also guilty of this ……..!! How many times have smokers said “Ok this new year resolution is to stop smoking”, me included!! How many of us stick to it. It could be to diet ……… Another one of mine. Do I stick to it? NO ………
We may have the purest of intentions, the desire and drive to succeed, but somehow we always end up right where we were the year before; setting a goal and moving in the direction of it for a short time until something mysterious and intangible stops us dead in our tracks.
The same applies to our online business ……
How DO successful people set goals? There are 4 Elements that successful people use when setting goals.
The first element is HAVE A VISION. What do you want to create? This is not the typical ambiguous, superficial goals that people set like “I want to lose weight”, or “I want to make some extra money”. Dig deeper to discover what you really want to create in your life, for example as it relates to losing weight – I want to be healthy, and have a body full of vitality and energy in order to feel good always, and to be an example to my children of what excellent health looks like. This is a vision!
Stay tuned for the second element that successful people use when setting goals, and start pondering what visions you have forgotten or haven’t allowed to come forth in your life. Dig deep, write down your vision and sit with it for a while and let it come forth.
