I Am Not Supposed To Be Here

Those are the buzzwords that are being thrown around today. The Miami Heat won the NBA Basketball Championship last night and Lebron James was asked about how he is able to handle the pressure with all the things that are said about him (outside of the basketball game through the media and fans).

His response was “I am not supposed to be here”. I am paraphrasing because he said more but this was the short version of his answer.

“He is supposed to be right where he is” (we all are). Society programs people into believing if you are born in a certain environment, your life should follow a certain pattern.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

His words are spoken like a person that is very naïve to how the universe works. I would say he doesn’t understand because of his age, but most of the world never figures it out.

Law of attraction says, you “attract” that which you focus and believe.

Tony Robbins says it a little different by saying, “the difference in peoples life are based on the decisions that they make”.

In both of those comments, we know it to be true. If not, everyone that comes from a great background (whatever that means), would all live a great life. Yet we see people that have everything (according to society), on drugs, stealing, killing, etc.

On the other side, we have people like Lebron, that are born in a disadvantaged environment (according to society) and he blossoms.

The reason for this blog is to suggest to all those that are being hard on Lebron because of his words, give him a break. He has been taught that and he bought into that belief.

For those of you that are using those words to stay where you are in your life, STOP!!!

Don’t get me wrong, if those words “inspire” you to go after what you want in life, use them and enjoy the ride. Just understand, they are not accurate.

To those that are ready to change or move your life to a different level, just understand that if you make different decisions, you have no choice but to get different results. Learn to listen to your inner source (that is your built in GPS) to guide you to the best decisions for “You”.

Enjoy the journey my friends. After all, it ain’t right. It ain’t wrong. It’s just my opinion.

  • You are so right!  We've seen people from deep poverty rise to great heights; and we've seen people born into "privileged" lives do nothing with their lives.  I'll share this excellent blog.
