Is 50/50 Really Fair

What's up Fam? I was just reading a blog by Regina DeMeo: "Is 50/50 Really Fair?"

Very powerful blog. I didn't really think about the fact that in some states, the courts decide in a divorce who gets what and the magnitude of their decisions. I am in California which is a community property state. I would recommend reading it. Below is my comment:

Powerful blog. I definitely agree that you don't want others deciding what is best for you or your relationships and there is no such thing as 50/50 in life. You want people to play to their strengths.

People have prejudices and what they consider to be right or wrong. What should have more weight in a relationship, etc. So you don't want their beliefs, deciding your path.

I am always sharing with people that in a relationship you (the couple) must agree what is best for your relationship.

Bringing in outside people (before, during and after) is a reason some relationships don't work. Outside people include friends, family, etc.

There are 2 keys to all relationships: 1) allow people to be who they are without trying to change them. Then you get to decide if you want to be a part of what they bring to the table and 2) communication. Open lines of communication makes sure all issues stay small and get resolved immediately.

Thanks again Regina for sharing.

No one has the right to change people to who they want them to be. I totally agree that communication is absolutely a must in a relationship and couples should be humble, truthful with each other.  Shared via Syndication Automation.
