Just Enough Isn't Enough

I read a post on Facebook that said something along the lines of I may be broke, but, I have a roof over my head, food to eat, clothes to wear and my bills are paid. I really began to think about this statement and realized, when will we get out of the mentality of having just enough is enough when truly it isn't. What if I need something that I forgot at the store, but have no more or not enought money to get it. What if there's a school project or trip coming up for my child, but I don't have the finances to pay for it. What if an emergency comes up and I need to go out of town or get something fixed on the car or an unexpected expense, then what? do I enter the door of the 'pay day loan' cycle which to me is just a death sentence to your finances, because instead of paying back what you owe, you could use that money for something else. Don't get me wrong I am truly grateful for everything I have been blessed with which are the most important things of health, strength and a sound mind. I don't need at 10,000 square foot house and 16 cars, because after all, I am NOT going to clean a house that big and we can only drive one car at a time, but I had to realize that if I want more then I need to take the necessary steps toward those goals. It's time to stop wishing, waiting and hoping and start doing. Take that leap faith in a positive direction to better yourself, for yourself first and foremost and for your family. Just enough isn't enough and therefore you shouldn't settle for just enough.
