America is Like A Garden of Many Seeds

This is my tribute to all our veterans…  As a nation collectively we have many wounds that have healed over our 244 years in existence, yet we have many more that have been omitted from the common knowledge in our history…  So much has been overlooked that divides us… It's my thought that unless we learn about all of them we won’t be able to completely heal until each of us knows the truth… I'd like to share just two of these truths with you today…

I started with “The Code Talkers” because they were here before the immigrants who stole their land…  They should always be remembered because they served so honorably in our military in spite of the injustices they were forced to undergo by the new inhabitants…  Sometimes the truth seems so unbearable, but that doesn’t change it…

Next is “The Tuskegee Airmen” because of the indignities they were forced to bear because they were looked upon as being inferior by the color of their skin…  I had never understood the reasoning behind all this because this country was founded on the freedom of religious beliefs… How could anyone who calls themselves Christian be so horribly cruel to others when the Bible teaches God created us as equals?

There are so many more, but I want to end this on a respectful note because of this Honorable Occasion… We must remember these important facts about our country so we can learn from them so hopefully they’re not repeated… Our accomplishments are great, but we owe so much to so many!

I believe it’s a good thing that rear view mirrors are so much smaller than windshields… That way we can envision so much more moving forward & spend much less time looking back …

In spite of these shortcomings, no one is perfect, so no country can be perfect either… That just means we must keep striving to move forward… I believe there is so much more that is good about this country than is wrong with it... That's why we must always stand up for it along with those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep what we have... If we lose what we already have, the entire world will suffer as a result of indifference & apathy...

My thanks to Nathan East of Fourplay for this beautiful, heart-stirring rendition of

"America The Beautiful"

Because of the commitment of the Americans on the front lines battling this horrible Pandemic we will win this war on humanity...  They are just as brave as those before them who went into combat not knowing if they'd ever return...
May God bless them all & their families!

Remember: American ends in I Can !!!

Signing off 'til next time this is,

I am an 83-year-old, Extraordinarily Happy Networker, Senior Blogger & Mentor in Training... I have almost 32 years of personal development and recovery under my belt... I'm a firm believer in one is never too old to learn... I've recently progressed from mourning the loss of my friend, Tom Barabas to celebrating his very accomplished life and that made me feel better... He brought so much beauty and pleasure into so many lives with his music... You can find his music videos on youtube under Tom Barabas...
