The Four Main Principles To Look At When Running A Business:
1. Huge Expanding Marketplace: It does not matter how good you are in an industry that is eroding.
2. Unique and Consumable Product! If you don't have a unique product, then you compete on price and convenience. If you have uniqueness, then people must come to you. Also, make sure your product is consumable. If you have a non-consumable product then you are basically unemployed until your next sale. You want repeat sales of consumable products.
3.Timing and Trends! During all cycles of the economy there are people who are making money and losing money. The $ makers are the ones in front of Large Trends. People who lose $ tend to disregard trends. So focus on what makes trends: Baby Boomers, born between 1946 and 1964. They are 1/3 of the US population and control 65% of all the money. Baby Boomers reshape every industry they go through. So study their buying patterns!
Tip: You shouldn't care about how long you have been doing something to interfere with growth and change. Are you in front of trends or not?
4. Leverage: An increased means by which to attain something. Watch the presentation below to learn more about Leverage!
