You Are What You Eat!

Have you ever heard this before? "You are what you eat", this is true. The food and drink we take in need to provide the building blocks of everything we are made of, fueling each and every process that happens in our body.

So we know that we cannot get all of our nutrients and vitamins/amino acids/minerals/proteins etc. from most of the food we eat these days, but we can however assist the body to help get what it needs.

Inflammation and tissue healing can be helped with good nutrition in our diets. When we have biochemical disturbances such as food allergies and intolerance this can cause much pain and or aggravate existing pain.

First let's take a look at some of the most important building blocks needed to help repair the body.

I was recently listening in on one of our Doctor Panels and learned a lot about the building blocks of life. I am so in Love with this information and just had to share it.

Did you know that proteins are the building blocks of life? Modern science and healing is turning to these building blocks called proteins. Stem Cells, Hormones, Neurotransmitters and Enzymes, are all proteins. How does the body communicate with every other cell in the human body? Yes, you got it, with proteins.

Proteins are the only nutrients that hold information. This is how the immune system learns. Take colostrum in a mother’s breast milk. Colostrum is made of a chain of proteins that hold together genetic information. Colostrum contains antibodies to protect the newborn against disease. * Colostrum is known to contain immune cells (as lymphocytes)[4] and many antibodies such as IgA, IgG, and IgM. These are the major components of the adaptive immune system. *Source: linkarrow.gif en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colostrum

Our bodies can produce proteins that teach our immune cells between what is bad and good in order to get the job done. Laminine helps us do this too. This product is something so valuable that has never been available before now and you are now given the opportunity to share it. Reap the benefits of long term health for you and those you share this with: linkarrow.gif http://www.EggOfLife.com/dhodell

  • Thank You Cheryl, You are right! You are what you absorb! This is very true. I actually have been on a Gluten Free diet for a couple years now and have learned this the hard way. We need to heal our digestive system in order to properly absorb nutrients. Thank you for adding this very important information. I know that probiotics are helpful in assisting the digestive system. If anyone has any questions regarding Laminine, Dr. Gianmichael has many years of experience as a Retired Naturopathic Practitioner, wellness and peak performance consultant and research scientist for more than 29 years. He is a true testimony to Laminine and how it has helped him with thyroid condition (Hashimoto's Disease) as it is being reversed, thanks to what the Laminine does do activate stem cells, and help the body heal itself. His doctor decided to hold off on all synthroid, because since the introduction of Laminine, the thyroid seems to be correcting itself.

  • Thank you for this important information you shared with us Deana.  I agree that proteins are important in our diet.  However, I must respectfully disagree with your title.  I have always heard that "You Are What You Eat" and used to believe it myself, but now I do not. I believe that 'you are what you absorb'.  The only way the body will get the nutrients it needs, is to help it to absorb those nutrients effectively.  Can inflammation and tissue healing be helped with good nutrition?  Yes.  Do some people suffer from food allergies and intolerance to some foods? Yes.  Therefore, we first have to solve these problems so that the body can get all the nutrients it needs to heal and maintain itself.  First, we have to make sure the Digestive System is working properly.  If this is not happening, then all the good nutrition would be a waste of time, money and (I cannot say energy because we will not have any). As a result, if we do not digest our food properly we will end up with gas, bloating, allergies, eczema, heart burn, intolerance to certain foods, also disease like Celiac and Crohn's, and the list goes on. Finally, if the body did not digest the food properly then the body will not absorb the nutrients needed for optimal health.

  • Some great information here Deana, thanks for advising on this subject.
