As you may already know, my personal favorite method for finding compelling topics for videos is Ubersuggest. I started with the keyword phrases ~ trends 1960 ~ trends 1950. Ubersuggest results showed that '1950 fashion trends men' was a phrase that got excellent search volume (22K/mo., we want at least 1K) as well as an SEO Difficulty in the green (lower competition ~ 34 is excellent, especially for this kind of search volume. You will see how well this works, shortly).
I have mentioned in a previous post, my 'stats' method. This is simply using YouTube search. When you or I see YT search results with Millions of views, we should have an excellent topic for our video. Another method that I use is Google Trends. This method works, but not all the time.
For example, I posted a video recently about a doctorate student murder and arrest. It only got 65 views and will not likely get many more. The reason, it stopped trending quicker than expected.
Two tips that can help you with Google Trends:
Click on Trending Now and then STARTED, when you do his, you will see the most recent trends, the ones that are just starting ~ these are the ones to target.
Do It NOW! If you use this method, put everything else aside, create your video and upload and publish as soon as possible.
Timimg is essential, so speed is important.
