Hi ALL! I am George Pierce, I have quite a few years of online experience, and I do my best to share some of what I do on Syndication Express. I usually share what works, of course. In this post. allow me to briefly share what did not work!
WHY?
Most of us are, at least I was, quite familiar with online efforts NOT working, specifically, when we are getting started...but here is the catch! Most of us fail to learn from our mistakes. Every step we take as a newbie is a learning experience, and our missteps may be our best teachers. So, allow me to briefly share my most recent FLOP, followed by what I learned...(your focus and mine, not on the mistake, but the benefits).
What Happened:
I created a video using AI (Claude) about the Monk Mode.
The Monk Mode Overview:
✅ Wake up at 5 AM every single day
✅ Work on ONE big goal (such as finish a 3-month project in 30 days)
✅ Daily workouts and cold showers
✅ Reading and journaling every morning
✅ Clean eating - no processed foods
My mistake:
I was not very familiar with Monk Mode, however, Claude assured me that it was a hot new topic. So the video was created...and it flopped...because...
Monk Mode is NOT a hot new topic.
Expected video results are 500 to 1K views in the first day or two. So when the video Was getting ZERO views, I checked Ubersuggst (keyword research).
The following is what I found.
What you and I should be looking for are keywords and phrases that have good search, and low competition, which means SEO Difficulty in the green. In addition, this video is part of a new channel created with the intent of getting lots of views.
The LESSON:
AI is not all-knowing!
In this case, especially, shame on me! The past several videos that Claude has helped with have been getting more and more views...the Monk Mode video got 7 views in 24 hours...again, shame on me!
In other words, although it was Claude that gave me incorrect information...
It was still MY FAULT!
Ubersuggest has proven to be most reliable relative to SEO research, Claude has not. From now on, SEO research with UBERSUGGEST will not be skipped.
Yesterdays video; searches start over 130K..a snippet from Ubersuggest:
Monk Mode video has literally zero percent retention, the most recent video, an impeachment video has 74.6% retention!
High retention means that YouTube will push our videos out to more people.
Claude suggested both Monk Mode and Impeachment as topics, and it only takes a few seconds for SEO research. FYI: Ubersuggest has a free version.
The bottom line is that we all are going to have FLOPS, let's be sure to take a moment to not overlook the lessons that can help us.
