Hello All! I am George Pierce. In this post I will be sharing some suggestions for your Facebook Group rules. Once you set your FB group, go down the left column of your dashboard, a step at a time, until complete. One of your tasks will be Group Rules. The following are suggestions that will help.
Standards advised for managing a Facebook group:
Foster compassion and politeness by promoting respectful communications and cultivating an inclusive atmosphere for all individuals.
Prohibit hate speech, intimidation, or any type of inequitable habits to guarantee the safety and well-being of every person.
Discourage spamming, self-promotion, and irrelevant postings to maintain a give-and-take vibrant within the group.
Respect the privacy of all members by refraining from sharing individual information without consent.
Encourage pertinent discussions and inhibit off-topic discussions to maintain the team focus.
Abide by Facebook's guidelines.
Regularly implement the rules as an admin to maintain a favorable and efficient atmosphere.
Motivate members to report any type of rule offenses to the managers for appropriate action.
Take into consideration making use of membership questions.
Keep the guidelines straightforward and easy to understand for all participants. Be concise, you only have 500 characters.
May I further suggest that you "Personalize your rules" by including your Group Name.
Thank you for reading.
Much success,
George Pierce
PS. I also suggest that you familiarize yourself with
Facebook Community Standards https://transparency.meta.com/policies/community-standards
Facebook Terms and Policies regarding pages, groups, and events https://www.facebook.com/policies_center/pages_groups_events/
PPS. One your FB Group is set up, consider joining a few groups that share the same interest as your group, be an active member so that when you share posts, members will respond instead of view your posts as SPAM.

I saw it in action, it is almost instant and the traffic is real, thanks, Terri.
One more thing I believe is important. When you start a group, don't let fan page owners join your group. If you do and something happens to your account, like being suspended. They will be able to take over as admin. A lesson I learned, so this is my experience.
Makes sense. My fan page was about a day old, only had about a half dozen posts, and was shut down by FB as I was making a post. It was shut down for violating guidelines, which it did not, of course, so I appealed and it was restored. My FB pages are usually shut down about once a year and restored, last time, not restored, so I hope FB is going to be worth our while, thank you, Terri.
Thank you for this very useful information and reminders George. It is important to keep uptodate.
FB has a reach potential in millions and more and in a short time. Thank you, Cosmos.
Mark Zuckerberg is a billionaire. He can sit back and chill now. Yes they have billions on their site to see those ads on all those reels/videos people upload daily. They follow YT rules and can cut you down anytime. They will claim it goes against community standards. What a cop out! If they don't be careful, hackers will take over and they will take notice and make changes instead of hurting people that are victims to hackers. They suspend your account, this is Facebook jail while they investigate the situation. Yes I don't like it because this is what happened to me. This is a learning experience for me. All the best George.
Their attitude seems to have taken a 180 degree turn. I use FB and YT for traffic, but. presently, have no respect for either. Thank you, Terri.
Well you and I know how to generate traffic. Social media isn't the only way we do it. I use Global Advertising and it helps with SEO as well. It's working very well. I'll keep you updated about it. Takes time to get it going.
Allow me to add that Facebook can be a huge traffic source, use your FB search box, find related groups, join a few, ENGAGE (be active), and post and watch the trafffic flow in. If you are not going to ENGAGE, ignore this advice.
Short and to the point. Helpful advice George.
