Hi All,
I am George Pierce, this post is about making small changes that can have HUGE benefits. Online, this strategy is called testing and tweaking. You make a small tweak (a small change) and then you see what happens. If your results improve, your tweaked version becomes your new version. Above is a simple example of how this works. What you are seeing above is the result of a Jeopardy video that was just uploaded to a classic TV channel.
The TWEAK
The tweak is that the title begins with Alex Trebek and NOT Jeopardy. A simple change such as this has the potential of more views, more visits, more conversions, more sales, more revenue, and so on. But you will not benefit if you do not make those tweaks.
In addition, this brand-new upload is competing well, extremely well, in YouTube searches. The keywords, as you see above, are 'game shows'. You may not realize that "Alex Trebek" can affect search, but it certainly can. The YouTube search algorithm is designed to give the viewer the best results based on their previous search and behavior and likes and preferences. Most people are going to prefer Alex Trebek as well as Jeopardy.
Internet Marketing and video marketing depend on lots of tiny details. Testing and tweaking is a strategy that can be turned into a habit that will help you to take care of those details and to maximize their benefit.
Thanks for reading.
Much success,
George Pierce

Comments
Your explanation and illustration on the value of testing and tweaing is on point. Yes of course it's important so people can get the desired results such as traffic to your video content. This in turn leads to more subscribers and social signals (likes and comments) and sharing. Thank you once again for all you do in sharing your simple tips and advice here in the SE community.
Test and tweak can be a way to level the playing field. A new channel ranks just below GSN. Thank you, Terri.
