It seems that everywhere you turn there is always someone trying to steal your dreams. They will ask, “What project are you working on now? Why are you doing that? You can’t make any money doing that. You need to squash that and come with me. You don’t need any more money- you just have to learn to work with what you have.” Do these lines sound familiar? I have heard them so many times from family, friends and associates. These people are what I call dream stealers. If you are low on self-confidence, they will steal your dreams right out from under you! You feel like your personal space has just been invaded.
Think about this. Someone has broken into your house, rifled through your personal things and ripped you off. You felt cheated, violated! But, no matter how terrible you felt or how angry you got, you were powerless to do anything about it. That is how we feel when someone steals something from us. Yet most of us think nothing of it when others come into our lives and steal something priceless and precious as our dreams. On one side of the coin, as you begin to hit some of the milestones along the road of success, you will notice some benefits you have not considered. When you are in the pursuit of a worthwhile goal or dream, you will find that you have added energy and enthusiasm for life. Continue here... |
