Oh no, I'm growing old & I haven't reached my most prized goals... I have however gained more experience & motivation... I've gained experience through all the research I've done over the years, now the time is finally right for me to put it all together... Lately I'm seeing proof of what a few of my friends have accomplished over the years... My problem is I get distracted too easy & that could be a fatal flaw for a procrastinator... These days it's become more obvious to me when I look at how far my friends have advanced... I believe in God Nudges & believe I've just experienced a HUGE one... It's like He just told me,

“Hey You! Pay Attention! I'm Going To Ask Questions Later!”

This is dedicated to all who have inspired me to always try to better myself...

Music coutesy of Leslie Butler, Miami, Florida

This is how much each of them have improved over the years, always striving for perfection...

Little do they know how much they have added to my life because of the gifts they each so freely share...  I am so proud of what they each have acheived in their life pursuits...

I am also grateful to my best friend ever on the net...  When I was experiencing the toughest time I've ever known in my life, my husband had passed away & I lost everything else precious to me plus I went into a depression that lasted three years...  All I did was watch the boob tube & stay in bed all day...  My friend, GTO was always there for me & helped me to get my life back...  He was everything one could hope for in a true friend...  I don't know just what I'd be doing today if it weren't for him... He put music back into my life & after that I rejoined the living...  That was the kindest, most wonderful thing anyone had ever done for me!  He helped me believe in myself once again...

Thank you, GTO!  This one's for you...

I've learned so much from GTO...  His persistence made me feel worthwhile...  We met online & he was educated in psychology...  He told me he had me figured out in the first 5 minutes we talked & he never gave up on me...  We've been best friends now for going on 14 years...  He lives 3200 miles away in Northern California so these days the entire northwest are in my prayers because of the wildfires...

Friends like these are priceless!  They give so freely of themselves never expecting anything in return...  Those kind of gifts last a lifetime because they will always live on in my heart & memory...

Stay tuned for more life altering inspiration...

I am an 82-year-old, Extraordinarily Happy Networker, Senior Blogger & Mentor in Training... I have almost 32 years of personal development and recovery under my belt... I'm a firm believer in one is never too old to learn... I've progressed from selfishly mourning the loss of my friend, Tom Barabas to celebrating his very accomplished life and that made me feel better... He brought so much beauty and pleasure into so many lives with his music... You can find his music videos on youtube under Tom Barabas...

I don't think I'm alone in observing that friendships forged in earlier years are the the deepest and endure because of it. In my case, friends of more recent times, do not know me, nor I them, in the way of my childhood and adolescent relationships. We bond so much more in developing years, there are no inhibitions in being who we are. It's natural therefore that in later years, when we are freed once more from social expectations that it is those old flames which burn most brightly and give renewed pleasure. Thanks for provoking these thoughts Linda.

As a wine lover I can fully appreciate the concept of improving with age Linda and, yes, from the times I've 'chatted' with you there's seems little doubt to me that you surpass even the finest of vintages in that department. This articles proves the point admirably.

I guess that's because I'm aging just like wine, I'm takin' my time...  I have discovered growin' old ain't for sissies...  :D

I've always gotten along well with older people never realizing someday I would become one of them!  Had a couple of setbacks this week but nothing I couldn't handle...  It's so good writing again, it gives me a sense of purpose & is much like doing brain exercises for my memory... :D

Thank you, Tom for your generous words of encouragement...  I hope what I write about puts the focus on the people I look up to for inspiration...  I only follow people I admire, not just for their accomplishments but for their integrity while acheiving their goals...  I'm grateful for my gift of imagination...  That's a gift you know all too well...  Keep on, keepin' on...
