1 Tim. 6: 18 & 19 says: To work at good, to be rich in fine works, to be liberal, ready to share.
Safely treasuring up for themselves a fine foundation for the future in order that they may get a firm hold on the real life.
Working to do good can be hard in the trying times that we live in because of ALL the wickedness in the world, and we must be rich in fine works so that we can receive the reward of the real life which is paradise on earth.
Jesus Christ set the perfect example for us all to follow. He remained obedient and faithful to God until his death. He knew his purpose on this earth and he did it for us all and this is the love of God that he sent his only begotten son as John 3:16 says.
Revelation 21:4 says: And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
This is my belief and the hope I have by putting my trust in God.

Yes it is an excellent feeling and very good for ALL souls.
I'm just sharing God's message from the Bible for all to know.
@Carolyn Almennigen a wonderful comment ... I agree ...
Good explanation of why and how we can keep the right mindset, working for a better life here but knowing we are only here temporarily. The material world is fleeting; the eternal world is the important one. It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle if life on earth. We need to stop every now and then, take a deep breath and remember that we're here to learn and grow as souls.
