The Boy from Broughty Ferry is young Scottish fisherman, Torry Taggart, abandoned on the doorstep of his adoptive parents when only days old. But what will happen when he is discovered by a 'ghost' from his past, blackmailed into betraying his hosts, and compelled to return to his home town on the 25th anniversary of his 'death', to an indifferent mother, a lost love, a daughter he never knew he had - and a mission to assassinate the British prime minister? Will his deadly task succeed or will Torry find redemption in his new-found fatherhood and the fishing community of his birth? Can a dead man with a cold heart live again? Will he be allowed to?

Congratulations on completing your new book, also congrats on going in a new writing direction. Murder and mystery and much more! Thank you, Tom, and much success.
I believe that you, like myself, George are not afraid of exploring new avenues. I deliberately chose to pursue writing as a full-time activity seven years ago and set out in the knowledge that it would, like all other enterprises - your internet marketing for example - be a long term project, building slowly and hopefully learning and improving. This novel is the latest step up - it is, as I write, already ranking well on Amazon and been labeled as literary fiction (as opposed to commercial fiction) by one critic. As I already told Dennis Thorgesen, I'm well pleased and am off to the local cafe for a celebratory 'something red' ... or three!
Now, it has turned into the 'thrill of the journey". I was so involved in reaching my destination, that I missed out on the joy of the ride, not anymore. I am happy to hear that you are taking the time to celebrate. Thank you, Tom.
