Do You Have The Magic Number?

3818708490?profile=original

The magic number of hours of needed sleep for adults is between seven and nine hours of sleep per night. If you are not getting at least seven hours of sleep a night, don’t give up, there are things you can try to help you sleep better.

First, try to create a bedtime ritual. Be consistent. Establish a sleep schedule that gets you to bed and up at about the same time every day, even on weekends. This schedule will help reinforce your body’s sleep/wake cycle, which can help resolve any sleep issues you might be having. If you cannot fall asleep, don’t torture yourself, just get up and do something relaxing, then go back to bed when you are tired.

Try to find that bedtime ritual which is basically doing the same things each night before you sleep. This will help to signal your body and tell it that it is time to relax.
Here are some ideas:

Take a warm bath

Read a book

Listen to relaxing music
*Shut down the TV and Computer, as a recent study shows that a two-hour exposure to electronic devices with self luminous back-lit displays causes melatonin suppression, which can lead to delayed bedtimes.

Find yourself some comfort. Is your environment comfortable? What is it like? Is your room dark enough? Do you have earplugs to block out noise? A good mattress and pillow would be beneficial as well.
Promote a more restful sleep with Laminine.   Laminine is a natural,  synergistic super food that contains most known vitamins, important traceminerals, all eight essential amino acids along with other nutritional elements. Laminine is nature’s most perfect food and the perfect combination of life-giving sustenance sourced from land, sea and plant.

If you need a nap, limit yourself to 10-30 minutes in the mid-afternoon. exercise prior to going to bed, this may cause you to be too energized and prevent you from falling asleep. For more tips on improving your sleep, visit mayoclinic.com

Good luck with your progress and wishing you all a better night’s sleep.

Stress is not necessarily a bad thing, and can actually be a stimulus for positive change and growth. But excess stress can be detrimental. Here are some tips that can help you reduce the effects of stress in your life.

1. Set Boundaries at work and home. Remember on person can only do so much. Choose to let some things go and give yourself whole heartedly to those you keep. Encourage yourself to say “no” when you need to.

2. If possible, take action to change situations that are troubling you. Know when to face up to the things that are causing you anxiety and when to let things go. Ask for support if you need to.

3. Set aside time to talk to your family and friends about your concerns. Let them know you are feeling anxious or pressured. Use “I” statements, for example, “I feel stressed. I have deadlines at work and feel I can’t keep up at home.” your loved ones will appreciate the chance to lend a hand as opposed to being blamed.

4. Honor a time and space for your own relaxation. Be willing to “stop the world and get off” even if it’s only for half an hour after work every other day or a two-hour walk once a week. Make a commitment to yourself that nothing encroaches on.

5. Try new things, like a new, nutritious and tasty food or whole food supplement like Laminine. Use of Laminine™ promotes a feeling of relaxation effect that may be to some degree attributed to the dramatic decrease in levels of the stress hormone cortisol produced after Laminine’s ingestion. 6. Assign yourself a time to “fret.” Then get on with your day-to-day activities with enthusiasm.

7. Take a painting, writing or photography class. Check the newspaper, colleges, community centers and bulletin boards to find one.

8. Take your breaks at work. Get outside for a walk or do simple stretches for 10 minutes.

9. Laugh. Watch comedies and read humorous books. Get together with people who know how to look at life on the light side.

10. Take a weekend, or just a morning, away from your obligations and worries. On your getaways, leave work and worries behind. If that’s difficult, try writing down your worries or “to-do’s.” Then tuck the list away, knowing you can get back to it after your time away.

11. Express your creativity. Write down your memories, grow flowers and herbs, or knit a sweater.

12. Go get a massage or start a home based business, it can be fun to share things you love and have compassion for.

There Is Hope!

The World Health Organization predicts that by 2030 more people worldwide will be affected by depression than by any other health condition. Some of us may have jobs that are dealing with this epidemic and there is no escape from it’s reality.

The world has become a different place and I have to remind myself of this when I enter into the doors of my workplace. Why are so many people dealing with emotional disorders and depression?

Here are some facts you may want to look at:
About half of mental disorders begin before the age of 14

Around 20% of the world’s children and adolescents are estimated to have mental disorders or problems

Most low- and middle-income countries have only one child psychiatrist for every 1 to 4 million people

About 800,000 people commit suicide every year, 86% of them in low- and middle-income countries

More than half of the people who kill themselves are aged between 15 and 44

The highest suicide rates are found among men in eastern European countries

As a healthcare worker I am learning to change my attitude about mental illness. Everyone knows someone who is depressed and something has gone wrong with our emotions.

In integrative therapies of mental health you will find ways to manage brain biochemistry by adding Nutritional Management, Laughter Therapies, Mind-Body Medicines, Acupuncture, Meditation, Adding Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids, Improving Sleep and much more.

I am reading a book called Spontaneous Happiness , by Andrew Weil, MD. In this book I am learning that happiness is an internal state of well-being regardless of the ups and downs. It’s not about what we have or don’t have.

Please share this with someone you know who may be suffering. There is hope!

Whether it is a physical or mental challenge you face or just the need to handle everyday demands, Laminine™™ may help.

Many people taking Laminine™ report a pronounced improvement in their mood and an increased ability to manage stress on a daily basis. A greater overall engage with others and desire to accomplish things.

You Are What You Eat!

Have you ever heard this before? "You are what you eat", this is true. The food and drink we take in need to provide the building blocks of everything we are made of, fueling each and every process that happens in our body.

So we know that we cannot get all of our nutrients and vitamins/amino acids/minerals/proteins etc. from most of the food we eat these days, but we can however assist the body to help get what it needs.

Inflammation and tissue healing can be helped with good nutrition in our diets. When we have biochemical disturbances such as food allergies and intolerance this can cause much pain and or aggravate existing pain.

First let's take a look at some of the most important building blocks needed to help repair the body.

I was recently listening in on one of our Doctor Panels and learned a lot about the building blocks of life. I am so in Love with this information and just had to share it.

Did you know that proteins are the building blocks of life? Modern science and healing is turning to these building blocks called proteins. Stem Cells, Hormones, Neurotransmitters and Enzymes, are all proteins. How does the body communicate with every other cell in the human body? Yes, you got it, with proteins.

Proteins are the only nutrients that hold information. This is how the immune system learns. Take colostrum in a mother’s breast milk. Colostrum is made of a chain of proteins that hold together genetic information. Colostrum contains antibodies to protect the newborn against disease. * Colostrum is known to contain immune cells (as lymphocytes)[4] and many antibodies such as IgA, IgG, and IgM. These are the major components of the adaptive immune system. *Source: linkarrow.gif en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colostrum

Our bodies can produce proteins that teach our immune cells between what is bad and good in order to get the job done. Laminine helps us do this too. This product is something so valuable that has never been available before now and you are now given the opportunity to share it. Reap the benefits of long term health for you and those you share this with: linkarrow.gif http://www.EggOfLife.com/dhodell
