Why is knowing your ideal customer imporatnt?
Have you ever known a business to last if they don't have buying customers? Everyone buys something, however many are not going to want your product or service. Unless you can reach the ones who do you won't have many buyers. This is why it is important for every business to know their ideal customer.
How do you use what you find out about your ideal customer
The factors you want to take into consideration about knowing your ideal customer can be found by following the link at the bottom of this article. Here I will discuss more about what to do with the information you glean. All advertising has to be aimed at your ideal customer. Information you share on social media and in your marketing has to speak to this person.
What are your ideal customers wants and needs?
More importantly how does your product or service fill their wants and needs? You must explain how your product or service is going to help them, in the content you create. We will cover what qualifies as content in another article.
What are his or her points of pain or pleasure?
Every human has wants and needs. What you are looking for is the pain this person feels or the pleasure for which your ideal customer is searching. In your content you want to address their pain points or pleasure relief. Do this especially in or right before the call to action. Make the call to action simple.

Yes, yes, yes! Thank you, Dennis, you have captured the essence of marketing and sales. In-person, once we create a little trust, we can sit back and listen, online, however, we need to follow your advice, it is essential.
George this has nothing to do with sales. The word sales should never come up in a conversation. To make it simple, you just have to undertand you are looking for buyers. The job of the Advertising, content, and the website is to let others make a buying decision based upon the value you show them. Then make it as simple as possible for them to complete the buying process.
Exactly, again. They complete the buying process and the simpler it is, the better, Thanks, Dennis.
Ask the questions and tick the boxes. Wonderful ... simple too. That's the beauty of what it takes to 'succeed' Dennis, that and listening to credible voices such as yours. A transcription of what you've written here and in your fuller presentation should hang in full view in every business person/marketer/entrepreneur's work space. Ask questions ... listen ... act. Boy Dennis, I love simple!
What I learned from the Amish is it doesn't take over an 8th grade education to succeed in business. They do things the simplest way possible, simple is pretty much all they know. Last time I researched Amish people in business I found 95% of businesses started 5 years ago are still going strong. I am laughing now because I wouldn't have had to write this article at all. You summed up everything needed in four words. "Ask Questioins, Listen,...Act."
