THE TRUTH IS....
To be honest..
I HAVE FAILED!
Yes, I have failed.
But I am getting off of the mat and I am still learning.
The truth is that (from my experience) is that 90% of affiliate marketers fail.
So many of us fail in affiliate marketing for reasons I will cover shortly in this blog post.
In my opinion, there are 3 simple reasons why affiliate marketers fail.
Check out the video below or continue reading the blog post for more information.
Here is the truth...
Affiliate marketing is a great business model and is very attractive.
When it comes to affiliate marketing, you don't...
- need to have your own product
- have to create your own website
- have to have money to get started
So, when there are so few barriers to entry, you will have some high failure rates.
And let me share a few reasons for the high failure rates of affiliate marketing below.

This is a great blueprint for success John. But you can only truly fail if you quit. Every failure is a lesson learned and only contributes to you growing and gaining expertise. Once you become an expert in your field the sky is the limit. And that's the beauty of Affiliate marketing, you have so many options to build a business doing what you love.
You make a great point. Thank you, I appreciate your support.
Thanks for sharing. I definitely need to get more consistent.
Thank you for your comment. Consistency has been an issue for me as well. So, I definitely understand.
Simple and to the point John, that says it all really. Earning commission is a great way to make a living. One people realise that then they only need lto earn the 'how' by referencing those such as yourself. As for failure? ... those who prime themselves to fail shouldn't be surprised when they do! :-)
Thank you Tom, I appreciate your comment. The "how" is the important factor, especially in the online world.
The business model for affiliate marketing is one of the best, thank you, John.
I agree with that. Thank you so much George.
The 3 reasons you shared is the first thing I learned before success happened for me. I got to admit, it took a long time for me to figure out my 'Why' and once I did, things begin to change for the better. Yes it made a big difference and I encourage people that I mentor to discover their why and how important it is they do it urgently. It's the key to their success in life and business. Thank you John for publishing this excellent post here in the SE community.
Thank you, I appreciate your support and this community.
