Staying well naturally can be a challenge for most of us, especially during times of stress. Poor nutrition combined with too much stress can weaken the immune system, making you more prone to bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic pathogens. When your body is stressed it produces cortisol, a stress hormone that contributes to the worsening of inflammatory conditions and auto immune disorders. Cortisol pulls calcium from the bones, when long-term production occurs. Reducing stress can stop cortisol production allowing the body to return to a balanced state.
Here are some important tips to improve your health:

Nutritional Suggestions:
- Eat at least five servings of fresh locally grown, organic, tree or vine ripened fruits and vegetables each day.
- Eat from each of the food groups every day :
- Eat food that is in it's natural state or as close to its natural state as possible.
- Reduce and minimize contact with toxins such as viruses, bacteria, parasites, fungi, pesticides, smoke, herbicides, exhaust, industrial wastes and hormones.
- Avoid excess salt, sugar, fat, caffeine and alcohol.
- Drink at least one ounce per two pounds of your body weight of filtered water daily. Add lemon juice for taste.
- If you are experiencing a health challenge, increase your consumption of the most important foods and supplements.
- Contact an informed health professional when using concentrated herbs and dietary supplements to correct health problems.
Remember that the effects of nutrition from food or supplements are time-dependent. Improving your nutrition can take at least 24 hours and up to 18 months to significantly affect body tissues depending on your body's cellular turnover rate.
Many of these factors are based on our values, decisions and choices. You can take control of your health if you choose to. It's never too late to start; don't give up and think positively.

Thank you Ann and Sandy!

Wow, thanks for all the shares and comments! I am grateful for your kindness!
This is a really great article. Plenty of information . Will be sharing.
Deana,
Wonderful tips! Stress can do so many things to you people would not really believe what all that can do to your mind body and spirit.
What is really odd I have found is that regardless of the amount of taking action you do it boots your mental state and your body responds. Eating even a tiny bit more healthy does the same thing.
Most people think they have to make a major turn around all at once but you don't. The slightest improvement will tell your body to listen up and feel better :)
Thank you for a wonderful post,
Susan
Well done. Thanks for sharing 'During Times Of Stress!'. In my life, the pyramid of food is different. The bottom layer is fruit and vegies , beans/nuts, The next level are the grains. What we eat does make a huge difference in our health and emotional status. It is amazing what we can prevent and recover from with the right diet. Thanks again

Deana you have expressed, in the simplest terms, HOW people can create and maintain health and wellness in their lives. Great article and advice. We ALL have to be well balanced, not only nutritionally, but psycho-emotionally too and I am gratified that you addressed that in your article! I have found that Laminine helps with Feeding our bodies what it needs, then promotes the Balancing and Wellness AND the best part is it promotes Happiness and Joy! I know you have more than a few fantastic results from Lammie Others do too when they give it a try! http://EggOfLife.com/dhodell/
