Network Marketing - Do You Have A Game Plan?

All of us want to prosper in our business.  Before that can happen, we must have a game plan, a plan that helps you to win, and win big.  We  must make a decision on what we want and how we plan to get it.  This involves setting goals and being committed to following through on the goal we have set for ourselves.

The military never go into battle without a plan.  Coaches don't send players into a game without clearly outlined plays.  Chefs don't begin preparations for a great meal without checking ingredients and recipes.  Contractors don't begin construction of their building without blueprints.  And you can't start down the road of success without
a plan either.

I believe that we are what we are and where we are because of countless choices that we have made during our lifetime.  Each choice has an influence, however slight, upon your path in life.  You can choose to be cheerful, or you can choose to be sad.  You can
choose to be rude or you can choose to be courteous.  You can choose to love your neighbor or you can choose to hate your neighbor.  And you can choose to prosper
or  you can choose to be broke.

Some get involved in network marketing and just seem to play at it.  They say they want to make big money, yet they treat their business as if it is a hobby, something
that they can do in their spare time.  Why is this?  It is because they do not have a plan, and so there are no goal and nothing to commit to.  I call this haphazardly building a business.  What do you csll it?

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTKiTsH3c_XOOitalqfjq7x-kuA6Wwlus6sZyN33hG45h0PpMif

Do yourself a favor.  If you have not done so already, develop
a game plan.  Decide what you want and how you are going to get
it done.  Commit to that plan and stick with it.  Develop a
burning desire to prosper and then live the life you were
meant to live.  But do these things only if you want to win big.

To your success,

Kathleen Ayers

It seems to not be enough time in the day to take care of all the things and events that need your attention? Instead of sitting down and making a plan to get them done, you just put them off and do them when you can. The only problem is these things keep piling up and then you start agonizing over how you are going to get them done. This is a red flag that says you need to organize your life so that you can create some kind of balance.

One thing you can do is evaluate and categorize your list according to priority and set a goal. Make a decision to get the job done. Make sure it's clear in your mind what you want your life to look like when your goal is met. Once you have clarity, create a time line. The time line should be for no more than a week at a time. Make a list of things you want to accomplish for the week. It is important to commit to whatever it takes to reach your goal. It is very important to stay focused on your goal. Don't be afraid to ask others to help you with some of the items on you list.

A highly celebrated author, Steven Covey wrote in his best-selling book, Seven Principles of Highly Effective People, talks about beginning with the end in mind. You, attaining your goals, are about taking a snapshot of your life to see what the big picture looks like and them setting the appropriate priorities for your life. So, do everything in you power not to agonize over things that you can control. All you have to do is prioritize and then organize your life day by day.

Friendship - What Are Your Intentions?

I want to share with you a post from my FaceBook status.  What was written was so profound and thought-provoking that I couldn't help but to follow the instructions at the end of the post.  I hope you will do the same!

"For all my friends, whether close or casual or just because. One of the longest post I will ever do, and the most real too. Everyone will go through some hard times at some point. Life isn't easy. Just something to think about..did you know the people that are the strongest are usually, the most sensitive? Did you know the people who exhibit the most kindness are the first to get mistreated? Did you know the ones who take care of others all the time are usually, the ones who need it the most? Did you know the three hardest things to say are I love you, I'm sorry, and help me?  Sometimes just because a person looks happy, you have to look past their smile to see how much pain they may be in.

It is a fact that we live in an age where a lot of people are relying on bloggers and blog sites for information that is helpful and applicable to their everyday living. It seems that whenever we surf the internet, we see blogs, blogs and more blogs.  They are everywhere!  Go ahead, test it out for yourself and see what I am talking about!  Just type the word blog into any search engine and see what happens.  What you will see is millions of results for the word blog.

In fact, because the popularity of blogs is still increasing, people have actually deemed them as reliable sources of information. This is because a lot of blogs are created by normal everyday people like you and me.  But in the same aspect businesses will also create blogs or blog posts to increase traffic to their business.

What if you run into factors that are unreliable?  How do you go about fixing the unreliable factors?  In order to do this, it is suggested that all bloggers should adhere to a natural set of blogging rules. These are rules that are not in any way set in stone, but they are basic rules that anyone should follow.  Most of your rules should follow the blogging ethicsguidelines as these are a very important set of ethics to follow.  In applying the rules to your blogging, there are 5 basic rules you should apply to your own site.

Habits - Who Are We, Really?

In cleaning out my office clutter, I came across this poem I had written down on a piece of paper that spoke volumes to me.  I don't know who the author is, but I wanted to share it with you.  Enjoy!

The Habit

I am your constant companion,
I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am completely at your command.
Half the things you do might just as well turnover to me
and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly.
I am easily managed -
you must merely be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want something done
and after a few lessons, I will do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great people;
and alas, of all failures as well.
Those who are great,
I have made great.
Those who are failures,
I have made failures.
I am not a machine,
though I work with all the precision of a machine
plus the intelligence of a human.
You may run me for a profit or run me for ruin -
it makes no difference to me.
Take me,
train me,
be firm with me,
And I will place the world at your feet.
Be easy with me,
and I will destroy you.
WHO AM I?
I AM HABIT.

Leadership - Are You Influencing Others?

I have heard the saying throughout my years of network marketing that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.  In network marketing, followers are what we actually want.  But, we must keep in mind that this business of network marketing is like a volunteer fire department or a volunteer army.  People choose to participate and they also choose to follow you or not.  This participation depends in part on how great of a leader you are.

John C, Maxwell, one of my favorite authors, wrote in his book, "Developing the Leader Within You", that leadership means to influence others.  He says, "Everyone talks about it; few understand it.  Most people want it; few achieve it."  This is so profound.  He defines leadership as the ability to get followers.  Many think that having the ability to get followers makes them great leaders or shall I say put them in a leadership position.

MLM Networking - Are We Faking It?

Most of us as marketers, have attended many MLM marketing events where there were a lot of networking going on. However, some people in the industry were clueless when it came to networking.  It was a constant pitch about their businesses and why I should be on their team.  If I looked as though I was not interested, they did not have time for me. They were not interested in connecting with me and maybe finding out who I was as a person and what my business strategies were about or just to know if I even had a business.  Who knew?  Maybe I knew someone that would have been a good fit for what they were promoting.  But they didn't take the time to connect with me.

As business entrepreneurs, whether online or offline, we need to revisit some good old fashioned "Face-to-face" type networking where it was not unusual to find people "Schmoozing" or "Rubbing elbows" with other entrepreneurs while building and establishing a rapport with one another.  But, we need to be empowred with some basics on how to do this kind of networking without looking like we are faking it.

If you choose poor keywords you are going to get poor Adsense conversion. It is as simple as that. If you are tired of getting a penny per click, then look into what keywords you are using. If you want to have higher Adsense conversion rates it is going to help for you to find those keywords that are going to bring you higher Adsense revenue per click. You can make money with Adsense but how much depends on how well you use it.

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ_PzUCoB0czxA7u64Xxf0_CtrpY4467Yru1DLo8XJ8vu4Z1jRx

What makes Google Adsense and Adwords so beneficial you aren't just shooting an advert to millions who aren't going to be interested in what you are trying to advertise or aren't likely to buy. You are able to customize an ad just for them based on where they are going on the ad and what they are interested in. That is what brings the high Adsense conversion rates.

Google is able to know exactly what a person is interested in based on the content of the websites, the frequent use of the keywords and allows you to capitalize on that. Google looks out for certain keywords and phrases and chooses for them the images or ads that they will be interested in. Used in the right way this can be more effective and efficient than the biggest, flashiest commercials on television.

The most expensive clicks are not necessarily the best. You will find some keywords that have a very high pay out per click, over $40-50 per click, but what good do those do you if those are rarely clicked. It doesn't matter how good you are at optimizing them, they just won't help you make money online all that well. Find words that people click a lot. It doesn't matter if they are under $20 or maybe even less than $10 per click. If you have thousands of clicks on those keywords, that is going to make you thousands more a day than those high pay out clicks that no one is really interested in. Use Google Trends or the Google Adwords Keywords tool to find words or phrases that are popular.

Branding - Find Your Fit

Appearance and manners, while important, are just the icing on the cake.  Once you have made that first impression, there is a way to brand yourself that goes much deeper.

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSVr8gwRhlhRsX6ZQeom1bAvE6nLLZvjbcIY1M2wrXT4IkqqPaEQw

You have to deliver your brand with style.  In this business, especially, staying power is earned.  I suppose that is true in all business entities.  It is all about your performance and that special brand that you bring to your business.  By all means, be an individual, but please don’t be individualistic.  Stand out from the crowd.  Stand out for a purpose that is bigger than you.  You have to find your fit whether it is in a particular business or on a particular team that you are a part of as a whole.

Stop and take a look around you.  Look at the landscape of the day.  Now ask yourself, “What can I do better than them?”  “What does the business or team that I am a part of needs more of that I can offer?”  “What is it that separates me from others that are a part of this same business or team?”

images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQAYQV5LAqV2uT2ttDG0BrA8dj-6REs0DbO0wlvvrxXPHtw-HrS

I believe that love for the company or team brand has to be synonymous with how you brand yourself.  Whatever you choose, find your fit - basing all you your decisions on your brand, ask yourself if it is good for the brand.   Continue here...

I am one of those people who very seldom get angry.  When I say angry, I mean mad, really mad.  This kind of rage or any rage for that matter is negative energy to me.  Oh, don’t get me wrong, I do get irritated when someone drops the ball.  I get annoyed in bad traffic.  Once in a while I will raise my voice to make myself heard but never to the extent that I let anger get the better of me.  I just refuse to lose control, no matter how much someone tries to provoke me.  Many have tried.  I guess it is part of my training as an educator and having to be role models for impressionable young minds.

However, on rare occasions, I have to go there.  It was a few years ago, somewhere between 2003 and 2005 that I got so angry that I thought I was going blind.  My sister, her husband and I were traveling home to see our mom.  We were hungry and decided to stop at a very well known fast food place to get food.  The customer service person had a very nasty attitude and acted like she did not want to wait on us.  I just said, “Oh well, she is having a bad night.  I hope thing get better for her.”

Let me begin by saying that I am honored to have been chosen as your featured member of the day.  It was a pleasant surprise--kind of like an unexpected birthday present or getting an unexpected bonus added to your paycheck.  You say to yourself, "Wow, I must have done something right!"

As I have said many times before, we are like a big family with colorful personalities and backgrounds.  That is what I love about the IBOtoolbox family.  We all have opinions about the many topics of discussion here on this platform, but we always respect each others' view points.  I love reading the Press Releases and the comments that others make.  I learn a lot about the members of this family from just observing the writing styles and expressions.  I am always in awe of some of the things that you express. It makes my day.

I took a break from marketing last night and deciced to watch a movie on the Lifetime Channel.  I was struck by one of the songs in the sound track.  The words spoke volumes to me.  It reminded me to never give up on my dreams no matter how hard the struggles and that anything worth having is worth going the distance to get it.

The song is entitled, "I Hope You Dance"  There were many who performed the song. My favorites are Gladys Knight and LeAnn Womack.  The performance of the skater and the way Gladys delivered the song in the video is what I want to share with you. Sing along and enjoy!

Be Blessed,

Kathleen Ayers

I Hope You Dance - Performed by Gladys Knight
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they’re worth taking
Lovin’ might be a mistake
But it’s worth making
Don’t let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)

Great Quotes | Follow Your Dreams

There are quotes that inspire you and  there are quotes that make you really think.  Here are a few that affected me both ways when it came to following my dreams.  I wanted to share them with you.  Enjoy!

“Don't you find it odd," she continued, "that when you're a kid, everyone, all the world, encourages you to follow your dreams. But when you're older, somehow they act offended if you even try.”

 Ethan HawkeThe Hottest State

“People who lack the clarity, courage, or determination to follow their own dreams will often find ways to discourage yours. Live your truth and don't EVER stop!”

Steve MaraboliLife, the Truth, and Being Free

“Love what you do and do what you love. Don't listen to anyone else who tells you not to do it. You do what you want, what you love. Imagination should be the center of your life.”

 Ray Bradbury

“I believe that half the trouble in the world comes from people asking 'What have I achieved?' rather than 'What have I enjoyed?' I've been writing about a subject I love as long as I can remember--horses and the people associated with them, anyplace, anywhere, anytime. I couldn't be happier knowing that young people are reading my books. But even more important to me is that I've enjoyed so much the writing of them.”

 Walter FarleyThe Black Stallion

“If you can’t believe in miracles, then believe in yourself. When you want something bad enough, let that drive push you to make it happen. Sometimes you’ll run into brick walls that are put there to test you. Find a way around them and stay focused on your dream. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

Isabel LopezIsabel's Hand-Me-Down Dreams

“There is no need for us all to be alike and think the same way, neither do we need a common enemy to force us to come together and reach out to each other. If we allow ourselves and everyone else the freedom to fully individuate as spiritual beings in human form, there will be no need for us to be forced by worldly circumstances to take hands and stand together. Our souls will automatically want to flock together, like moths to the flame of our shared Divinity, yet each with wings covered in the glimmering colors and unique patterns of our individual human expression.”

 Anthon St. Maarten

“We may place blame, give reasons, and even have excuses; but in the end, it is an act of cowardice to not follow your dreams.”

 Steve Maraboli

“Follow your dreams. I am not saying it’s going to be easy, but I am saying it’s going to be worth it.”

 Moffat Machingura

“You can get what you want or you can just get old.”

I like thinking big. If you’re going to be thinking anything, you might as well think big.”  __Donald Trump

I am always reading, listening, or viewing a variety of materials on abundance, prosperity and success.  I remember something that Chris Jackson wrote in an article about abundance and thinking big and setting goals to reach the level of success that we desire.

He stated that success coaches tell us to “Think Big!”, set big goals, if you want millions, think in millions, there’s no need to settle for less. This is the advice from people who have successfully acquired lots of money by thinking big, it has worked for them.

High profile teachers such as T Harv Eker, John Assaraf and Robert Allen, to name a few, all dreampt of being millionaires from an early age, yet, also experienced all kinds of ups and downs on the way to eventual success. They had fairly big dreams from the outset and succeeded in spite of every setback. But, what about those of us with more modest dreams? Is it more crucial that we think big or that we think true to ourselves? Can or should you force yourself to think big when what really interests you is the smaller stuff?

What are your true dreams? Big houses, cars, toys and long exotic holidays, never worrying about money again? Deeply satisfying work? Inner peace? Maybe you simply want to feel you have made a difference. Thinking very big is fine for Donald Trump but it doesn’t mean that if you start thinking of being a property tycoon that you’ll miraculously become one? No, to do that you’d have to think tycoon type thoughts persistently and accompany those with tycoon type actions for some time indeed and you won’t be able to follow through with any of that unless it is what you truly want.   Continue here...

As we move up in the world, especially in the business world, we are going to run into people from all cultures and walks of life.  Business, in my opinion, is the only true melting pot.  We should not judge but accept.  It is on us to learn how to be a part of the mix.  This is very important if we are to build and cultivate lasting relationships in the world of business.

 images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRvtQnsObfSoeX2IY-c7RhfQHoiISsLMLDk15i4yzG4XhJ7JFC53w

Everyone has a culture or group that they identify with.  Everyone learns traits and behavior from a cultural template.  There is black urban culture, there is white suburban culture, there is culture based on race, religion, nationality, socioeconomic status, sexual preference, age and interests.  It is human nature to want to latch on to a smaller community you feel comfortable with.  From the time we were little kids we all want to dress and talk like that group in class that we identified with the most.  In my days as an educator, I saw so much of this kind of behavior of latching on being exhibited.  It always gave me an opening to teach short lessons on building relationships outside of your box.

But now it is time to shed some of those old clothes of being inside of the box.  Like the Reverend Al Sharpton once said at a Democratic convention, “It is not about where you are coming from, but where you are going to.”  Continue here...

“When you are able to shift your inner awareness to how you can serve others, and when you make this the central focus of your life, you will then be in a position to know true miracles in your progress toward prosperity.”   Wayne W. Dyer

Prosperity is the state of flourishing, thriving, good fortune and / or successful social status.  Prosperity often encompasses wealth but also includes others factors which can be independent of wealth to varying degrees, such as happiness and health.

1. Pay Attention to What you Feel Passionate About
What's fun for you? What do you feel excited about? These are some of the ways your intuition informs you about your purpose in life. Can't figure out how to make a living out of it? I've found that when you start taking steps towards your passion in life, the Universe opens doors you never imagined were there. What would you do if you knew you wouldn't fail?

2. Pay Attention to Your Thoughts
Listen to what you tell yourself about your life situation. Pay special attention to your beliefs about money. If you find you have pessimistic or negative beliefs about money ask yourself, "What's another way of thinking about this?" or "What do I want to create in my life?" Would you rather be right or would you rather be happy?

3. Use Positive Prosperity Statements
Clarify and write down your goals, visions and dreams. Write a short positive statement that sums up your goal. Here are two examples: "I easily attract $_______ a month/year." "Money flows easily into my life as I do what I love." Say the affirmative statement several times a day.
4. Visualize Your Goal...    Continue here...

Relationships—Know When to Edit

We have built and cultivated many relationships in our business and personal life.  That does not mean that these relationships are all equal, because they are not.  Some of these relationships can be toxic, while others get you where you need to be in life.  Some are so solid that they don’t need the same amount of time to nurture.

I love everybody, some more than others.  But every now and then I have to edit certain friends and associates from my life because they seem to be in my life for the wrong reasons.  You have to constantly tweak and change now much to invest in your relationships.  You have to decide when it is right to take a step back and ask yourself the following questions:  Continue here...

Branding—Just Do You!

“I maintain that nurture rather than nature is the primary molder of personality.”  —Nelson Mandela

Most of us have been in this business of internet marketing long enough to have figured out what we want and have found the will to make it happen.  If we haven’t already, don’t you think that it is time to let the world know who we are and what we are about, really?

 images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR5mSkUxMkc3tWzZx8dcwLLIjCPEo8rdQhiWNZMPNFysK6Honq9

Our drive and determination have either, brought us onto the ground floor of our businesses, launched us on the entrepreneurial path to success or put us at the starting block of a great career path.  Whatever the case, we still have to stand out in any business we become a part of. We have to find a way to make these businesses our own.  It is called “doing you,” branding yourself.  But we have to do it in a way that complements our business or the business we are a part of.

Ideally, the process of branding would have started from the time we could walk, talk, tie our shoe laces or the day we could write our names and put on our own clothes.  Whether you are five or six years old, it is the opportunity that you have to handle your business.  Why?  The biggest business is YOU.  You are your most important brand.  You are a reflection of what you do and say, how you relate to others and how you conduct your business.   Continue here...
