Social media can actually help your organic search presence just like inbound links are a “vote” for your website – and as such, Google’s crawlers love websites that have lots of inbound links.  If you think about it, the more people that love your content, then the more Google will want to return those results in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). Therefore investing in a social media strategy can actually get you a little SEO bang for your social media investment.

Lastly trailing is Linkedin, where 51% have acquired a customer.

Social media is powered by user-generated content which is critical for driving sales to your business. If you have the time it is a great idea to  blog daily, whether it is about your business, your family, your pets or it might be something of great interest in the news.  If you blog about your family and pets then people will realise you are a real person and will want to get to know you which could lead to a customer or someone becoming one of your team members.

My Tribe v South Africa Holiday

 I just wanted to share with you my last holiday in South Africa

Day 5 of My 30 Day Blogging Challenge

I spent 12 years in South Africa and loved every minute of it.  I spent one year in the Transvaal and the rest in Cape Town.  My last three children were born in South Africa but I returned to the UK in 1981 when my parents became ill.

I have returned a few times since then as I still have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren there and this is why I turned to online marketing to make my dreams come true to go and visit again.  The first photo I wanted to share with you was when I was staying with my eldest son in Kwazulu and was laying in bed one morning to hearing a rustling noise.  When I opened my eyes there was this rather large monkey at the bottom of the bed stealing a tub of my shortbread biscuits.  Monkeys always move around in tribes but this one was not going to share with anyone:

This is where my online marketing experiences came into it.  If you are in a tribe you should always be able to help and share what you know with others in your tribe.  That was one selfish monkey as the rest of his tribe were all sitting a short distance from him but he finished the lot !!

Anyway when staying with my eldest son his flat looked out onto the sea and we used to watch the dolphins swim by every morning.  I suppose you could say that they are part of a tribe as well, as they always stick together.

Then directly above the sea was a hawk freely flying – free as a bird ! – You could also be free like a bird from all your money struggles if you Click Here …..

We then went to Cape Town to stay with friends and believe it or not in all the years I lived in Cape Town I never went to Robben Island, so decided to make the trip on this visit.  What a fantastic day out and to get to look in Nelson Mandela’s cell !!

Needless to say we had six weeks of driving all around Cape Town, Durban and the Transvaal to see all the things that I never saw when I lived there!  I belong to a few tribes on Facebook and other social media site and if you are not in a tribe yet I suggest you find one to join.

I have learnt so much more by being part of these tribes and everyone is so helpful to give advice and support giving me the motivation to keep going strong …..

I have to say unfortunately that in the internet marketing business there are a lot of scams out there.  I know from experience as have been scammed myself in the past.  This is going on day in and day out every single day of the year – BUT – if you do your research properly (which is something I learnt with time) then you should not be having any problems with a scam company.

What Is The Best Time To Publish Your Content?

Below are some stats by Nick Randazzo who is a research-savvy at Aweber.

I don’t know if you have ever considered this but it really does make a difference at what time of day you post your posts or blog posts but the time of day makes a difference to the results you will get.

Depending on what part of the world you are in people get to see your posts at different times so you should be paying attention to the time differences to get your content seen.  For example if you are posting in the US in the morning to around mid-day then it is more than likely not going to get seen in the UK until late evening or the following day.

In The Morning: Blog Posts, and Then Facebook

Most people view articles and blogs during the morning. This is when people catch up on the news and search for the day’s ideas.   So when do you read blogs?  Below is an example of his research:

80% of people read them in the morning

60% of people read them in the Afternoon

50% of people read them in the Evening

40% of people read them during the night !

So this shows that the best time to post blogs is in the morning and you should be taking advantage of this.  The earlier you publish, the more people will read your post.

Facebook posts get the most shares between 8:30 and 10:00 am (EST) – which is roughly late afternoon or early evening in the UK

Therefore you should make your most important posts mid-morning. They’ll get more shares this way.

OK, so the most important information to get out via Facebook are your blogs and status updates in the morning, but what about the rest of the day?

Afternoon And Evening Is The Best Time For Twitter

Twitter has the most activity in the late afternoon.

The important line to notice is the “Re-Tweet” curve. Random Tweets are the content you put out originally, but Re-Tweets are shared beyond your current followers, so they introduce new people to your content.

The rate of Re-Tweets increases as the afternoon goes on, so if you want to advertise your content through Twitter efficiently, late afternoon is the best time to do it.

So as you can see most people check Facebook on waking and then turn to Twitter later in the day.

So Now What About Blog Posts And Facebook Later In The Day?

Through research it shows that a respectable number of people will still read blog posts throughout the day, so while it is still effective to post them out early it is by no means the end of the world if you send them out later.

You will find that Facebook sharing increases again in the evening, so that way you can best use Twitter to fill in the gap between the morning peak and the evening peak on Facebook.

Now How About Emails and Where Do They Fit In?

Emails are different as there is no best or worst time to send them as it changes based on what you are advertising and who your target audience is.

If you’ve already created a consistent experience with your readers (such as sending Wednesdays at lunchtime or Saturday evenings), it’s likely they’re comfortable with the pattern and might not want it to vary.

Otherwise, the only way to find out the best time to send to your subscribers is to test!

If you are using a tracking system you can send out your emails at different times and see how your results vary: a lot of people open their emails in the morning, some open in the afternoon, and many others don’t even have the option to view their emails during the day possibly due to work commitments or perhaps they are having a day or two off.  As long as you are tracking them you will get to know the best times to send out your emails.  It is just by trial and error until you get the timing right.

You have to just keep on experimenting until you find the best time for you!

By being the first to advertise these new products, you will appear as a professional and dedicated individual who is determined to bring the latest products to their customers.

Thinking Of Quitting Your MLM Business?

 Are you struggling with your MLM business?

Let me tell you that this should NOT be an option if you are in the right company.  Many people think that they are going to get rich quick overnight after just watching a couple of videos and attending a couple of webinars.  If you don’t like to put in a lot of hard work in the beginning then you probably will quit.  But if you really want it you will keep at it.

Watch training videos, buy books, attend webinars and always be in touch with your upline who are there to help you on your way to success.  Once you have found the right company there is no way that you will want to quit.  I am 68 next month and have been with several different companies over the last 10-12 years.  Yes, I did quit them all because I never had any support.  I was never invited to webinars or given any support by my upline on what to do.  So after losing hundreds of pounds over those years I made my mind up to just GIVE UP!!

But then I got involved with Jay Roberts who is an absolute diamond.  I had a two hour home visit with him and learnt more in that 2 hours than I did in 10 years and then after about 18 months he introduced me to Gavin Mountford – well I get lost for words for the two of them as they are the most wonderful, down to earth people that I know in this industry.  And help, it is neverending.  So I would say, find the right company and stick with it.  You cannot go wrong – it could take up to a couple of years to earn the sort of money you are looking for (maybe longer) but surely it must be worth it in the end.

I have now been with MLSP for about 15 months  and I know this is the best training platform I have ever been involved with.  There is so much training that it is quite possible to get overwhelmed by it all, but taking it step by step and always being in touch with my upline gives me the incentive to REACH FOR THE STARS.  You know when it right for you as you will feel happy doing what you are doing.  Any questions I need answered I go to our Facebook Group and there is always someone there to give me the answer.

Why Not Do List Building Offline as Well as Online?

If you have been around Internet marketing, you know that list building is critical to your online success. How many times have you heard it said, ‘the money is in the list’? Marketers go through great trials trying to build their list, sometimes resorting to buying a list. Because Internet marketers are so wrapped up in list building online, they often overlook a source of targeted leads. By doing so, they leave money on the table! Instead of just building your list online, why not build your list OFFLINE?!  Here are some list building ideas that will have you snapping up leads offline faster than you can blink your eyes!

Meetup Groups

Meetup.com is a hotspot for leads for ANY business! Simply go to www.meetup.com to find groups in your eara that your target market is using. Before you go to a Meetup, contact the organizer. Tell them who you are, and ask if there is someone in the group that you should know. Your goal is to connect with no more than five people, as you will want to meet with them one on one at a later time.

Not only should you attend a Meetup group, but another great way is to start your own! This alone puts you in a position of authority. Whatever group you start, make it a ‘beginner’ group. A beginner group will draw people to you that want what you have. An expert in your field will not necessarily come to your group. Give free or low-cost classes, and have a sign in sheet and collect business cards. Olay! List building has just happened!

BONUS TIP:  Meetup.com also has a sponsorship feature that allows you to add advertisements to your group. Use that to promote any relevant affiliate or primary business offers.

Networking Events

Networking Events are often touted as useless. That could not be further from the truth!  If you do it right, networking events can be a great source of leads. At networking events, you often get 30 seconds to say who you are and what you do. You often hear, “My name is ______, and I help people (insert your service).” Pretty bland right!

BUT… if you walk in with a flyer with a free offer, you will make a statement! An alternative is this:

“Did you know that there are almost a billion people on Facebook? How would you like to know how to find the right people to talk to?”

– As you’re giving your 30 second pitch, you’re passing out your flyer with a free offer to receive ‘5 Steps to Fire up Facebook’. You direct them to fill out their information and return the flyer to you at the end of the meeting. In 30 seconds, you have managed to increase your list by 50% or more with the people in the room!

Speaking Engagements

Usually people start running in the other direction when it comes to public speaking. There is no better way to have an impact on a large number of people than with speaking engagements. Seek them out!

Your local Chamber of Commerce and business groups are always looking for speakers. They may not be able to pay you, but the exposure is PRICELESS. Request a copy of the attendee list so that you can follow up with the attendees by phone. Simply ask if the attendee would like to be added to your email list – BUT be sure to give them the benefit of being added to your list, such as: ‘Get all your social media questions answered’, or ‘receive free resources’.

By overlooking offline list building opportunities, you are cutting out what can be a significant revenue source. You can build a following offline and then invite them to follow you online. Many successful marketers have followed this model and are generating six figures and above. Get out in your community and get connected!

Internet marketers know that list building is an essential step to success. The thing that internet marketers need to realize is you can build your list offline as well. Using methods listed in this article, you can build yours just as quickly offline as you can online!
