What is Serenity?

Serenity is a disposition free from stress or emotion. The state or quality of being serene or tranquil.

Serenity actually refers to a state of peacefulness where the mind is stayed calm and unruffled by any external environment. This higher spiritual echelon, or inner peace, is accompanied by a sense of contentment and bliss.

It has been said that Human beings are distinct from all other life forms due to their intelligence and consciousness.

The conscious mind perceives the external world and feels various emotions based on experiences and perception. These feelings, emotions, and sentiments, in turn, determine our inner equilibrium or “inner life.”

Consciousness, which stems from internalization of social values and morals, also plays a major role in directing the inner equilibrium. Most of the time, the inner life or equilibrium of a human mind is in a disturbed state.

The mind is never at peace, and chaos reigns due to anger, shame, feelings of guilt, and sadness. The human mind strives to achieve the right balance or equilibrium. The eternal quest for the ultimate goal—bliss—proceeds in many directions.

Some seek respite ( A short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant) in various forms of addictions,  others, by passionately submerging themselves in work or pleasurable activities. These paths, however, never satiate the true desire for peace or tranquility.

Serenity, or peace, is achieved by striving for an inner peace first. The most important step in this direction is to recognize the inner child of the mind. The second step emancipating the inner child from all forms of abuse, is by loving it, unconditionally, like a child.

Serenity requires Self-love..

Self-love doesn’t require one to be directed by the inner child. You must always be ready to take control, being a conscious being and love one’s self, yet not be dictated by it.

There are those who find serenity in nature; for others, serenity is found in visiting with family and friends or some other form of relaxation.

True serenity is achieved by empowering the inner life and allowing it to reflect the external life.

PRAYER is the conscious contact you make with you Super Conscious Mind.  It has been said that the Creative Spirit of God which created you, as well as, the world around you, has the ability along with the intelligence to help solve your problems and make your days more joyful and peaceful.  But faith is required.  You must first believe that He is able to do "all things".

Prayer does not take time.  It actually saves time.  You see, through prayer you are asking God to be your partner.  He is a partner who already has all the answers to every problem.

Prayer brings you in close contact with God.  We are told to "pray without ceasing". Therefore, we should pray while eating, walking, driving, grooming yourself in the morning, out on a date, washing the dishes and all throughout the day.

Moments of prayer will increase your peace, as well as, give you the ability to accomplish all things.  Though your prayers must be unselfish.  Must be God's will be done and not yours.

You must acknowledge God's wisdom and realize that, while your desire or prayer may be strong, it may not be right.

Words Women Choose To Use

Some words that women choose to use can be somewhat universal in nature.

"Women don't want to hear what you think. Women want to hear what they think - in a deeper voice.---Bill Cosby

Some definitions of the "Words" that Women choose to Use - The American version:

FINE - This is the word most used at the end of an argument when we feel we are right; but need to shut you up.  NEVER  use fine to describe how a woman looks.  This will cause you to have one of those arguments.

FIVE MINUTES  -  This is usually half an hour.  Much more equivalent to the 5 minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash; so could possibly end up as an even trade.

NOTHING -  If you ask her what is wrong and she says "NOTHING," this means "something" and you should be on your toes.  NOTHING is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards.  "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last 5 minutes and end with the word FINE.

GO AHEAD (with raised eyebrows) - This is a dare.  One that will result in a woman getting upset over NOTHING  and will end with the word FINE.

GO AHEAD (normal eyebrows) - This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care."  You will get a raised eyebrow "Go ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by NOTHING and FINE and she will talk to you in about 5 minutes when she cools off.

LOUD SIGH - This is not actually a word, but is still often a verbal statement very misunderstood by men.  A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over NOTHING.

SOFT SIGH - Again not a word, but a verbal statement.  "Soft Sighs" are one of the few things that some men actually understand.  She is content.  Your best bet is to not move or breathe and she will stay content.

THAT'S OKAY - This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can say to a man.  "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you retributions for whatever it is that you have done. " That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and used in conjunction with a raised eyebrow "Go ahead.""  At some point in the near future when she has plotted and planned, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.

PLEASE DO - This is not a statement, it is an offer.  A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done.  You have a fair chance to tell the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay."

THANKS - A woman is thanking you.  Do not faint; just say "you're welcome."

THANKS A LOT - This is much different from "Thanks."  A woman will say, "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you.  It signifies that you have hurt her in some callous way and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh."  Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell you "Nothing."

Mediocrity Definition is this: "The state or quality of being mediocre."

Mediocrity has been defined as a region bounded on the north side of Compromise; or on the south side of Indecision, surrounded on the east side by Thinking in the Past, as well as, being located on the west by a direct "Lack of Vision."

True success avoids extremes!  It is a journey.  It is a gradual process.  It abides in a realm of gradual process in which balanced living is achieved. Through balanced living you will find happiness and success.

Our Creator intended for you and me alike to lead happy and successful lives by applying the natural laws established by him to keep us in tune with the universe.  He did not intend for us to be Mediocre.

Mediocrity has no place in business or in life.

Here are some principles to follow after to achieve Success in Life, not Mediocrity!

a.  A Name is better than Silver and Gold.

b.  Always strive to deliver more than promised

c.  Honesty is always the "best" policy.

d.  The early bird catches the worm.  He also has the capacity to put in a half day's work before the rest of the world gets up.

e.  Be ever Learning.  Leaders are Readers.

f.  Always Strive for Excellence.  Stay away from Perfection!  Perfectionism leads to poverty.   

g.  Without Faith, no goal or plan will ever become a reality.

h.  Keeping your goals in front of you each day followed by decisive action will bring them to pass.

Accepting and following after the above principles will take you another step closer to a life of happiness and prosperity; and away from a life of Mediocrity!

What Is Goal Setting?

Goal Setting is setting up a “Plan of Action” to arrive at an object, or end that one strives to attain.

It has been stated many times that men who set goals and have plans are the ones who will dictate to others.  It is also true that those who have no goals and plans are the ones who will be dictated to.

You've probably heard that being successful is all about setting realistic goals? It should come as no surprise to you to learn there is a quite a bit more to success than just setting your goals.

Goal Setting Success Plan questions and answers:

1) What is a goal?

A goal is a target achievable in measurable attainable steps.

It is way more than just a desire or a need.  It has an existence of its own. A goal has to be crystallized and meaningful.  It is a Blueprint designed with the Action steps necessary in place to be followed.

 

2) How to set a goal?

Goal Setting is a process which begins with an achievable wish, need or desire. To begin a plan of action you must decide on the following:

a.  What do you want?
b.  Where do you want to be?
c.  Your status, career or qualifications?

Setting achievable goals are “goals” where you can influence their realization and measure your progress towards them.

To achieve long term life changing goals you will follow a process of achieving, step by step, short and medium term actions.

 

3) What are the necessary actions required?

Develop of Plan of Action.  This is your actual Blueprint for achieving your goals along with a target date for their accomplishment.  Start with small individual steps or actions.

Your first action is always to always write out your goals.  By putting pen to paper, or the necessary detailed goals to notebook or laptop will give your goals an existence of their own.

While writing a plan is an essential step in achieving your goals – without it you will, over time, need to amend the long term goal to fit your reality.  If not, you will eventually reduce the goal to a wish, and wishes only come true by chance.

 

4) Always Analyse Your Results

You then need to analyse, and work out in detail, how you are going to accomplish each individual goal. This  will let you see if your plan of action or blueprint is on target.

 

5) What steps do I need to take today?

Daily review and check off the steps you’re taking to keep you on track. By this time you should have everything already planned in advance. If you discover additional steps are needed, then add them to the plan.

 

6) Have a Weekly Review

Every week review your progress for the week. Check what you’ve done and what you may have missed. Then make the necessary adjustments for the next week or month.

Your plan should always take into account what you will do today, tomorrow, this week, next week before the end of the month, in the next 3 months, 6 months…? Always write down your results.

 

7) What if things go wrong?

If goals were easy to achieve everyone would be successful millionaires. Goals are difficult because they tend to move you outside your comfort zone.  In order to be successful you must face your own fear of failure and take the necessary risks.

There will be setbacks, expect them, they are part of the process.

True success comes from the daily actions we all take.  If you are not prepared to take action towards your goals then you are wasting your time.

 

8.  Never Give Up

Success cannot elude a will that stays in existence in spite of the pressures of adversity.

Setting goals will ensure that all the actions you take are moving you in the direction you wish to go. Daily or weekly reviews keep you on track and applying these simple tips will ensure you achieve your goals

Setting goals will also lead you to the Success you desire.  Success comes to persistent people, making the invisible become visible.

Firework Safety is truly important, especially with the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

Annually, hundreds are injured due to the use of fireworks.  Some of theses victims needing to have parts of their body amputated due to the power of the blast.

There has been many debates concerning the safety of using fireworks for years.

 

Firework Safety is a big issue because not only are there numerous injuries due to the result of using fireworks, but possibly even death can arise from the usage.  This is due to the fact that fireworks are composed of some highly-flammable materials.

Not only that, there is also the risk of fires taking place from the result of their usage.

The National Council on Fireworks Safety is a US-based organization whose aim it is to promote fireworks safety.

Four Firework Safety tips to be used in the handling fireworks are:

1. Fireworks should never be lit indoors. This includes sparklers.

This is not only hazardous, but is known to cause fire if thrown into any flammable materials or surfaces.

2. Should only be allowed to be used by persons who are over the age of 12.

Realizing that the handling of sparklers can cause injury, if handled incorrectly.

3. Never mix drinking alcohol with the lighting of  any type of fireworks.

Understand that Drinking alcohol has a tendency to slow down your reaction time and could be extremely dangerous when handling fireworks.

In the Philippines back in December 2007, there were several stores selling fireworks which were reported burned down because a firework was accidentally lit.

Because of this incident several countries began to regulate the use of fireworks in their territories. The United States allows the use of fireworks, but, the use of fireworks is regulated state by state.

4. Just use some common sense. Along with a great deal of caution.

Firework Safety is a big issue and should not be ignored.  Take the necessary precautions and enjoy your firework displays.
